A little suggestion, having those cfls in open space like that is inefficient. If you kinda walled in the big plants with something white or reflective, most of the light fromt he cfl's would be reflected back to the plants.

Very true. Unfortunately I just haven't had the time. The last week and a half has been truly quite hectic for me and I haven't had the opportunity to sit down and make adjustments. The solution that I had imagined was that I would screw a few more eyelet screws into the ceiling and run some rope through them and put up shower curtains which will enclose the entire perimeter. Then I'll have mylar stapled to the shower curtains so I'll be able to move the reflectors when I need to and then just pull them back into place when I'm done.

Seedlings: 16 days old (11th day of 12/12)

Well today was a good news bad news kind of day. Fortunately, the white hairs are spreading all below the nodes of my first identified female plant so I'm pretty assured that it won't go hermy. Sadly however, I noticed small pollen sacs forming below the nodes of my second oldest plant. I knew what that meant for this 2 foot tall, 3 foot wide baby that I've nurtured for the last 7 weeks.

Yeah I killed it off and now it's double bagged and ready to be disposed of. Now I can tell you exactly why the plants are having the problems they're having. They've used up all the nutrients in the soil and I haven't given any plant a single drop of nutrient at all. The symptoms they're exhibiting are from a whole host of nutrient deficiencies ranging from N, K, P, and Mn. I just don't have any money to spend on ferts at the moment, however as soon as that changes I'll be balancing out those deficiencies.

A black/white poly plastic curtain would be more reflective than a 'mylar curtain' and much easier to deal with.

Poor things need some food though. =)

Some good news, I was able to confirm my last mature plant as being female so that ends the first wave of plants as 2 females and 1 male. In another 2-4 days I should be able to sex the 20 seedlings I have and they'll be ready for their 1 gallon pots soon. I really wish I would have just started out with 12/12 from seed with my mature plants like I did with my seedlings because I'd be smoking bud by now. Oh well, live and learn.

Honestly, when growing, patience is better than any nutrient you can buy

First let me say something about 4 foot fluro tubes. They fucking rule. I went to Wal-Mart one day and bought a 4 foot fluorescent shop light fixture which holds two bulbs for $9. I also picked up two 6500k bulbs for $4 each. So for less than $20 I was able to get a two-bulb 4 ft fluorescent light put together and it hasn't failed to amaze me yet. It alone has been the sole life-source for my 20 seedlings and so far it's managed to turn what started out as many very sad and small sprouts into a veritable marijuana jungle with only 12 hours of light a day.

Are those seedlings already in flowering cycle?

Yes. They were put into a 12/12 cycle shortly while they only had a single set of leaves. I just need them ready for harvest asap to make room for my soon to come Lowryder 2 grow.

ohhh sweet lr2! btw your older plants are starting to look healthier, does this mean you got nutes finally? haha

Also, shouldnt you be surrounding the plants with CFLs, and not just on top???

Good question. I'm going to have to transplant them. They've been needing it for some time now. Just haven't had the funds to get the soil and pots I need. Well I suppose if I had been real serious and professional, I've had plenty of opportunities to procure those items, I've just been off in stupidfuckofftown for a while and things like this have been happening : https://www.rollitup.org/toke-n-talk/63393-just-wanted-get-high-instead.html

Haha yeah man i feel ya... well hopefully since you flowered so early, they wont need that much light.
Could you afford like... 10 CFLs?
