Greetings and hi to all the great guys and girls on here. These are my plants at Week 4, Day 1 in flower (today being the 9th)
I was wondering if they are ok for their age, if the lights are high enough, and if i have deficiences.
When i see the size of some of the pics on here they make these look like seedlings.
Your opinion would be great appreciated and give me an idea where i may be going wrong.
King regards JL

They look good. I am questioning the cupping of the upper leaves though. Not sure if it is heat or light stress. But it is close to the limit on one of them. May be a little thirsty? I'd move the lights up a few inches and see if the leaves open up again. I would also do some defoliation for air flow. That window is closing fast though. I stop trimming at week 5 of flower.

Do you have a fan close to the top of the plant with cupped leaves? I had something similar, at first I thought it was heat But my canopy is pretty even, the only plant that had it was closest to the fan so I lowered the speed and raised it a tad seemed to have worked

Hi Decedeards, yes i do i have a fan, well 2 small 8" fans quite close to the top on the cupped leaves so tomorrow when lights are back on i will move them further away, and drop the speed down one, i did it like that as i thought you had to have the tops flowing a bit as though air was getting to them, my mistake as ive seen a lot of grows where ive seen this method, i guess mine are quite suited as much, or what ive seen has had a better set up and needed the fans. Thank you so much for your advice my friend

Hi MICH-CAN, thank you for your post. I will move the lights up a little maybe six inches tomorrow when lights come on. I know it wont be heat stress mate as i do find it hard to reach 25 degrees, i get close but it never goes over.
I also did do a post about trimming and the general consensus was to leave as many leaves specially fan leaves on as possible. I did a small defoliation at and end 2nd week of flower, and read i should do one more at 5 week or flower, exactly as you do with yours mate.
But this strain is a very leafy one and im now finding it hard to just bend the leaves and leave enough space for light and air to get through. I did try the "lollipop" method i think its called where i stripped all bud sites etc from about 1/4 way up the plants, as to leave no popcorn or under developed buds.
I may do a defoliation half way through this week, to let light through, then another one next week to make sure no unwanted leaves are in the way.
Do you keep as many fan leaves as you can though? As ive read the plants need them till the end due to photosynthesis, or have they served their purpose by week 5?
Just cant wait till its done so i can pot it all up so i know i have (hopefully) decent medicinal medication so im not paying approx $40 every week for CBD oil to try and help.
Thank you for all your feedback mate, so much to take in and remember and try to get right for a newbie with issues that cause short term memory, but im still doing my best to keep it in, and just keep coming back to posts ive done and where such helpful members as yourself have left very good information.
Thank you so much MICHI-CAN

Easier to show you. All shade, fan leaves gone by week 5. Naked stems from 5th node down. You'll have to decide on a full strip though. As you may have some branches with nuggs this late. 006.jpg

Np man, you have the right idea you want a nice breeze on the plants, an oscillating fan works best so it isn’t constantly blowing at one area.in nature it reproduces through pollination so the plant puts more energy into buds that are getting a nice flow of air
Nice setup btw

Hi @Dcedwards , thank you so much for your kind comment and compliment mate, and I'm sorry i have only just replied but I've been a bit busy last few days and not been on at all much. I do have an oscillating fan, its just out of the picture mate, the blades go one way and there a circle on the front which goes the opposite way, it does to the job, just about. As for the setup mate, it's all i could scrape together, and had to get someone to do it for me as my back could not hold out to all that mauling with it having all degenerating discs and mechanical back failure. Drs won't give me any cannabis or CBD and having the odd smoke helps me no end.

Excellent post MICH-CAN and great plants, i see exactly what you mean now, and the pictures are going to be a learning curb for me. You are right there are some nuggs, ive had to disgard them. I havent done a great job like the pics show, but ive stripped it down some. All i will do now is just get rid of any leaves that are covering bud sites. Thank you so much mate..
