Hi I am to the forums I got 2 three months old plants. VERY basic 1st grow just water and soil nothing special at all. I got 4 CFL's on them and a flouro tube, all they ever had. After seeing peoples nice plants they do not look like the greatest plants in the world. But I was only going for some very small bushy plants and they are small so I am happy.

So I think they are FINALLY starting to flower, thank god. I messed up b/c I didnt have them on the right light cycle but now I got them on 12/12. So I see some things that look like small blooms/flowers/bud/seed pods? I'm not even sure! When it's lights on time for them I will try and take some better focused close ups.

If you look really close on one of the (bad) close up shots you can see a small bloom of some sort at the node. What is it? So help me out guys and ill post pictures all the way through the flowering stage. <smokes a bowl 4 u>

its this pic you can see something hanging right off the node at the bottom, it appears to be open like a flower! so what is it? A girl I hope? :) Or maybe its like a pollen sac that already opened or something? :O

sorry man I can't tell with those pics. it looks like the plants are either under or over watered. that is why they are droopy like that. some better pictures would help.

Gotta get in closer with the pics. Its *really* tough to tell (for me at least) with the pics taken that far away.

I'm not really sure how long they been on 12/12 for a few weeks I guess...... I can't hardly even 12/12 them I dont have a timer so I just kinda wing it.

They are suffering from lack of food and water for starters my friend. As for sex it is very hard to say with these pictures-as for the 'open flower' preflowers dont look like that in females plants so I would guess (reiterate 'guess') it is a male or a hemaphrodite as there are also a lot of stange leaf combinations ie 3 fingered leaves etc. Good luck and post some better pics.

I water them every othre day or so. I really doubt I could be underwatering b/c I always keep the soil moist. Even in the pictures you can tell the soil is moist I had just watered them. I heard its better to underwater then overwater. Every once in awhile they look super droopy then I know for sure they need water so I water and they perk up again.

plants of that size will consume up to a litre of water per day (they do in my hydro system) so I stick to my advice-if you overwatered the leaves would yellow and fall off aswell as droop, or at least in my experience.

whats a hemaphrodite? and if it is a male is it absolutely no good to me? I hate to throw out a plant i worked so hard to make. I'm thinking the small one is male and the big one is female. So I might want to get the small one away from the big one or ill be screwed? Say if the male DOES fertilize the female, the female will still produce bud though right? It just wont be quiet as good and have seedS?

well all I have to say is try to keep it at the right light and dark time you started them at and I picked up a 24 hour timer for about $30

you can't over water then the max you should water them is to a point where the water is starting to drip out of the pot and some strains can take a long time to finish flowering

Males are normally bigger given the same growing conditions as a female so that when they open their downward facing pollen sack it falls down onto any female plants in the vicinity. A hermaphrodite is a plant of both sexes 'fucked up ' basically due to stress an as such will produce male and female flowers and as such will self pollinate so causing lower strength due to energy usage in the production of seeds. As 'Zero' says get a timer and i recommend some food and a little water regularly. In soil you should always water when you poke your index finger in up to the knuckle and its dry feeling. good luck and look out for your pics!
