Hey Kochab I have a pretty damn good idea of what you went through. Unfortunatly I am currently addicted to opiates ( Oxyconton is my opiate of choice). At first I just took it to calm me down because I used to have real bad Social Anxiety and it really helped. But one night i was ride home and it hit me that I was an addict. You never see it coming before its to late to stop using. Opiate addiction is like being in a cage, it keeps you from doing the things you love and most of all traveling (which I love) unless you have enough to last. And the worst thing is the withdrawls. Its like having the worst flu in the world, your entire body hurts and you're never comfortable ever until you can get a fix. I have found a natural plant extract that is 100% legal and works wonderfull for any opiate withdrawls and its called Kratom. The strong extracts come in a powder form which you mix in a liquid of your choice and drink it. It feels like true opiate pills and allows me to function rather normally without opiates. As well as giving me that nice calm feeling. So anyone thinking of trying opium or opiates beware of the dangers of addiction. I'm just trying to give others the proper warning about the killer withdrawl symtoms of addiction. So try to keep your use to a minimum and youll be fine. Ive been sober from heroin for 4 years now mate.
I dont care for oxy because of so much bad rep it has (like junk dosent...)
opium helps me with my heroin withdrawls that I still have today if I have some around.
Kratom does help get through withdrawals some....But to me it didnt feel the same so it only curved my urges not stop them like getting an opiate in my system does.
I hope that you get clean man, its so great once you can, Like nothing you can ever remember, and thats bad in a way because all addicts used to be sober @ one point in the past...

Not to sound mad, but an alternative is something you occasionally use because your drug of choice isnt present. I stopped using because i didnt want to be a junkie anymore, not because I couldent find any
the opium occasionally helps me with days that make me want to use, Not all people are that way. Kratom is supposed to be very good for someone suffering from withdrawls.

I appriciate the support Kochab. Its not easy living with an addiction even when you've managed to stop using. But I think Kratom is going to help me quit because Im going to Cahuita Beach Costa Rica for 3 monthes on a voluteer mission. So I pretty much have to quit and find a away to cope with the occasional withdrawls. Peace and Happy Token!

The only poppy containing Opium is Papaver Somniferum. There is also a Paeony Poppy that is called paeoniflorum but is a somniferum. There are MANY varieties of Opium poppies- Persian White, Hens and Chicks, Danish Flag, Tasmanian, etc.. Many of these can be found at regular garden stores, easily available on e-bay, or simply go to the grocery store and purchase a bottle from the spice rack. Most of these are the Tasmanian variety and are viable seeds. The white seeds at a local Indian market will grow white poppies.
If you find dried pods at a florist they are opium poppies. Remove the seeds to plant, and grind the pods to make a bitter tea that feels like 2-3 percs.
Seeds contain NO opiates and do contain oils that make you feel ill.
Let's not hear from some under-18 that some "buddy" of his brewed 1000g of seeds and got really really really high. These forums are for solid information, not ignorant hearsay.

Where would one buy Kratom in USA? My wife was really interested in it, as she was addicted to Oxy and is her drug of choice. Would rather her used this.......Thanks for ur knowledge

Its good that shes been able to remain clean that long. I believe that kratom helps people suffering more from withdrawal symptoms more than it gives people a "buzz". But thats only coming from my limited experience from the plant. Ive only taken it 3-4 times

i recently purchased some afghan that are apparently rare as they are white with pink centers but i had so much trouble with getting them to set you know.i have two large containers with maybe 30 to 40 1" good looking plants finnaly doing decent.animals love these for somew reson the basturds.but say 3 to 4 weeks old now .how do i seperate these without killing them?verry delicate!but they say once i get them going well you know how i'm sure.have any tips.if these work i have access to more seeds.cheers,to youall.

You can get Kratom from IAmShaman Shop - Buy entheogens ethnobotanicals psychoactive resins extracts kratom and I order the 15x kratom. I put about 2 grams in my hot tea with sugar and lemon and it gave me a pretty strong opiate type high. I was very surprised by the effects and you can also get 20x Kratom. One more thing, it comes in a powder that you put in your favorite drink and stir it up. I think she will like it and it most definently gives you a buzz and with more gets you pretty damn high.
