Another thing about an o pipe. The bamboo tube that connects the bowl with the tip tends to slowly fill with very strong condensed vapor. Now I have only managed to clog it once, I didn't know how potent this stuff was and one puff threw me into another state. After I threw up I could move but was entirely unwilling to. I found later that putting a bit of pot in the bowl between o sessions would vaporize a bit of the condensate further on down the lenght of the pipe and it did marvelous things to the heads of those who smoked it. From this I surmised that the combustion temperature of pot must be far higher than that of o - at least the active portions. I also suspect that the vapor points of morphine and codine are different enough where if you smoke it with your pot or touch a flame to it you may be getting far more codine than morphine - but I have never checked melt points so this is just a guess.

I know this a 3 year thread but I like the topic. I just got a magic flight launch box, will it work for o + mj? I just started growing cannabis and papaver somniferum. Anyone else growing somniferum?

Sounds like experience talking to me lol... however i have never done O, (besides some derivatives in pain meds from surgeries) I'm a beginner with my first crop of papaver somniferum under 20/4 light

One easy way to do it (kratom) if its not in caps is to mix it with yogurt or pudding.

It lasts a full day, languid, peaceful, warm, dreamy. Everything feels just ever so pleasant.
Smoking is shorter lasting but the best smoke is cooked and cured. One must know how to smoke it and some is always lost to heat, smoke and dross.
All of that represents quite a bit of material.

@canndo Im probably going to smoke it raw and I will try to cook and cure some. I also want to try eating it directly, like just roll some up into a pill shaped ball and swallow it with a drink.

I don't know, three months?
They have some distinct stages.
Seedlings are very tender and cannot be transplanted easily.
They are very vulnerable to stem rot.
Don't get those stems wet until they have a few sets of leaves.
They like being on top of each other.
Sandy soil is best, dont over love them.
After the cabbage stage (look like little cabbages) they will do fine no matter what.
Plenty of sun.
You will see the pods form on stalks hanging down from the main stems As they mature, they will rise upward.
You get lovely large flowers. Let the petals fall and watch the pod engorged.
When the points of the crown point upwardupward, score your pods taking care not to cut the inside membrane.
Let the latex dry in the poppy for a day.
Scrape the now darker and sticky gum off the pods and score again.
The first milking is the strongest. If you intend to smoke, use this one, eat the second. You might even get a third milk.
It is fun to dodo, unless you have whole field I guess.
