these pics are all of the same plant, on the same day.
trichs still look a bit light, but from certain angles can see an amber tint
cut off a small nug, quick dried in micro using "Dankmaster's steam dry method". good smoke, am hoping it hasent reached it's full potential yet.
what do you think?

lol, you must be new to growing :p.

iv'e never heard of overripe pot :D. seriously, you guys REALLY should try letting some go later. patience and potency are practically synonymous after all ;)

also, 95% of effect is genetic, not dependent on length of flower time, unless you cut EARLY.... :p

my camera is a piece of shit, all i have is a small magnifying glass, but i think its still growing man, i dont want to fuck this up

thanks man, it sits in a 2'x2' space with 200 HPS and 200 metal halide, and 2 42 watt cfl, in homemade compost, chicken shit, wood ashes, soil and garden clippings

Actually THC can degenerate if the plant is left to "overflower". I smoked some Orange Bud recently that had dark brown hairs and mostly deformed trichs.

It had a minimal buzz due to the THC degenerating to other cannabinoids.

yes, you are right. it is called a harvest window, trichomes reach a peak, and then degrade.
however, it is personal preference as to what point you harvest during that window period.

yeah definitely.

I'm gonna let my Bubble gum go like 70% cloudy and 25-20% amber for a good daytime bud, but will let the NLX go 'til they're at least 50% amber. For that narcotic, couch-lock stone. Perfect for bedtime :)
