When I think back over the years it seems like these banks come and go. However not all. Take for instance nirvana was one of my first purchases, over 10 years ago. Later on they seemed to be a generic knock off breeder. However it really gave me a taste of something better. Ordering seeds exploded with some of the new banks came out, especially attitude. Nirvana in 2008 or so was getting seized over and over. it took nearly 2 months for them to change. During that period they kept taking orders and not responding or shipping.
Then you had attitude that offered the "paper and plastic" breeder packs... this made customers feel secure in what they were ordering. Over the years I have ordered several times from them. After several years of the same thing people want to change it up. others want to try to stay with the latest and greatest. This made a lot of people stop cloning because for a few dollars your up and running with the same thing.
As I need to get some new things the uneasy feeling is real. Before I used to order without thought. Now ending up on some list, losing time or money for the loss seems less then desirable. While many people order every day, if the package all looks the same odds are higher to get a letter.
What I take from all this and the different threads is if they were losing a lot of orders they would correct. While a seed is not 16 each to produce, is part of the margin they need to stay in business. I cant see them just losing hundreds of orders a day and not making adjustments. The other thing it is more likely to have a review if you get seized so the chance of hearing these are much higher.
