- Wasn't exactly sure where to post this, so if a moderator can move the thread to the correct forum that would be cool. -
I am running out of options for buying some seeds. No one has any seeds locally and I for some time there has been no bagseed in anything I buy. I have been considering buying seeds online for about a month now, but I didn't really want to take any risks.
I think I am just about to get to the point where I am willing to risk importing some seeds, but before I do I want to learn as much as I can about buying online and specifically importing to WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
So, if anyone on the forum has imported to Perth in WA, their experiences with importing seeds would be of great value to me and I would appreciate hearing them!
Anyway, here come the questions.
1) Does anyone know exactly what customs is like in Perth? Like the chances of having your order found, how they find it, what they do with it etc.
2) If my order is detected, what will happen from that point? From what I have read, they destroy it and send you a letter saying there was contraband in a package sent to you and ask you to come in and collect it? Obviously you wouldn't go in and collect it and you would destroy the letter they send you but I am not sure if this is just something that happens in the US or what?
3) What are the penalties for trying to import contraband such as cannabis seeds? Is it just a fine or what?
4) If they find the seeds, does it give them the right to come search my house or some shit like that? If I was stupid enough to post the seeds to the address I would be growing at anyway hahaha (which I am not -.-).
Also a question about buying from online seedbanks.
5) How likely is it that a popular seedbank like nirvana will steal my money? At most I would only be ordering a 10 pack of regular seeds until I am comfortable enough with buying online.
I'll probably have some other questions later, but all answers will help A LOT and hopefully convince me that the risk is not great enough to stop me from buying online.
