DNA Genetics, there outta amsterdam but theres dispensaries around that handle orders for there seeds, no clue on the breeding but she is an absolute joy of a plant, smells exactly like fruity pebbles, i havent found any other bud rot on my girls so i left them and decided to dance with the devil and mother nature

Damn worms!!!
I went out this am...full sun. I have been checking The Black almost daily for rot spots as I am finding spots daily...this am I found at least a dozen of these little bastard!
They are only on my one plant...it is supposed to be The Black strain but...it has no Indica characteristics more Sativa...and definitely no The Black phenos.
My Original Blueberry is right next to the affected plant but has no worms what so ever.
Looks like I will be hashing the affected plant if I make a decent harvest!

I've also found that one plant will be hit by bugs or mold, and one sitting right next to it won't (or not nearly as bad). There is no substitute for good genetics, at least good for our climate and regional pests.
I'm done for the year, it's mostly hanging with one batch in jars. Yesterday I took the final buds off the plants, and did the final trim and jarred the first cut of the season. In both cases I was finding worms -- trimming takes so much longer when I have to break every bud down to its smallest node for inspection. On the Dream Catcher I found no sign of worms when I cut the plant and did the initial wet trim, it wan't until I was doing the final trim that I found a bunch of very small worms in the interior of buds. Seems some hatched late.
Overall the worms were not as bad for me as last year, and MUCH smaller ones, but enough to be consistently annoying. I'd say last year I lost 30+% of my crop to worms -- I lost one plant completely, and learned that if you bring plants indoors for the last 2-3 weeks, the indoor warmth will make the worms eat and grow exponentially more. This year it was more like 15% because there were fewer and since they were smaller they did much less physical damage. I think the cold nights we've been having have slowed their metabolisms and growth down. That's the double edge sword of a greenhouse or plastic cover, if worms do get in they will enjoy the warmth as much as the plants.

I just went back out to re check the plant! Just because it's pissing me off...found so MANY more of the little bastard that I just started cutting full tops with affected budsites...seems they are more at the tops!
Also the plant actually has a sour rotting odor...overpowering the cannabis aroma almost!
Bout ready to shred the whole thing! I don't want rotten anything even if I am going to hash it!

It seems that the moths are drawn to lay their eggs on the tallest parts of the plants, which inevitably turns out to be the tops of biggest primary colas. It does suck. I feel like I've seen several different kinds of worms over the past two years, so I think there is more than one type of moth laying eggs on my plants.

Up near Portland here. One outdoor and 3 indoor.
Looks like we're gonna finish just fine outdoors thanks to a small portable greenhouse up on cinder blocks to fit this monster in on rainy days:
Indoor: 2 Rainbow (one pollinated with a Tangie) and one Tangie.

After 5 days of drying I jarred up the Obama today. I'm happy with the vibrant color it kept. Not happy about the density of the buds. Overall it'll be ok, I have plenty more to come. Only A QP out of the little guy. The hole size was far too big for the plants roots and structure.

I started to harvest my worm infested plant! As I began to trim the colas I was finding worms in and on every cola...it really was grossing me out so bad I laid all my colas out on the ground and ground em up with the lawn mower!
More pissed enough the effort gone to waste on that one!
Now for good news! My Blueberry is doing great and has about another week! Cloudy but no amber!

I may start harvesting the chernobyl this weekend, I've already had a little taste of it and it's pretty nice

Damn that looks good, what a great bud shot.
So I decided to go ahead and pull some of my Pinot Noir plant tonight. I took about a third of the best stems. I figure that this will be enough to make my efforts worthwhile and if the rippers the the rest, so be it. At least now I can sleep at night and not worry. I'll let the rest go for a bit and see what becomes of it. The buds are not huge colas, but more like golf ball to lime size buds.

I feel like I may over post here, but I can't help but share the beauty.
Your close up looks amazing, I had to post a few as well.
I'll be cutting down the cherry pie next Friday, that's the plan at least. It's been rolling along really well this year, hoping I can stretch it one more week. That'll land it at 56 days from first hairs sighted.
The other two will continue onwards into the great unknown. The head banger is a constant battle of picking little bits of rot.
The BB#3 is just lagging a bit, far too many white hairs depending on the location of the bud site. It's gaining a great strawberry aroma, I really want this one to finish strong. It was my first choice when I bought my clones.
