I found my problem. I tested run off and it's almost ph 8!!! So I then tested my reservoir and it's over 9. I have a serious alkaline problem

I can't believe it was so high. I have tested my tap periodically the last couple years and it's always been around 7.5. I guess the reservoir evaporates something in the water that further makes it even more alkaline. At least I think I have caught it in time to lower my ph going in from now on

Okay. Back to business. I have two phenos of GDP males that I will be cloning today. Two branches per each female will later be pollinated with them.

I'm not certain on this, but I think your best bet would be to get some gypsum flour and topdress with that.

If you ask these questions in the organics forum, you'll get more & better answers

This will be my last post about my ph issue. I'm sure anyone reading this is getting tired of it and trust me so am I but it's settled now. I'm doing away with my reservoir other than for tea making. I tried to lower the ph of it and it is taking WAY to much to get it to drop even just a little bit. I still don't understand the science behind why aerating raises it so damn high. But I will only be using my filtered tap water straight up. It comes out of the tap at 7.5 which is just fine by me. I used triple the dose of ph down on my res and it didn't even lower it by one point.

I'm not suggesting you get all your products from here, get em local, but read 'The complete system' pages. some excellent info on how to grow healthy, grade 'A' meds, with good yields. Even they started with supersoil, like most of us do, cos it's the most famous method.

Very nice read. I actually have came across that during my research. I should clarify a little that my soil I called "super soil" because that's pretty much what everyone call ammended soil now. Although mine was based off of subs concept it is not a copy or replication of his recipe. Mine is actually a much less aggressive mix. After I stopped watering with alkaline water and added the 1-2-2 nutrients my plants have not progressed with the issues that I was seeing. Which leads me to believe my phosphorus was low more then a ph issue.

I may not even get the full 2 months of veg I had planned. They are growing so fast right now! A few leaves got burned from the light. I had to raise them for the second time just this week

I apologize if my updates are starting to slow down. It's just everything is dialed in at the moment and there is not much to say at this time lol. It will pick back up once flowering starts probably next weekend at the very latest. Watering is the only excitement that's been going on

These plants look like they have been heavily topped bUT this is the proof that you don't have to go crazy with pruning. They have been topped only twice. First was at the main stem then I let the 2 shoots from that form and then those 2 shoots were topped. Coupled that with LST and bam. Humongous bushes at just 6 weeks from sprouting
