Organic GG4 From Seed - Appreciate some input.

You can make your own compost tea mix, based on what your intended application. A specific tea mix, (for veg, for flower, nutrient dense or bacteria tea for a certain specific plant, etc), or just an overall tea to feed your plants, and mainly feed the microbial life in your soil.

Clean water is a requirement, the boogie brew company sources a affordable filter that connects to your hose spigot. Or use filtered bought water, reverse osmosis etc, just make sure the water you has is clean and free from chlorine chloramine etc, these free radicals will combat the microbial life forms from growing and developing in your brew.

I brew a tea once a week, 5 gallon bucket, always clean it with Bronners soap after a brew, and use the spent dry brew remains to top dress any plant in the garden.

I fill the bucket about 4.5 gallons, use two air stones,(more air stones more microbial life, I ought to at least double to four stones) and the recommended amount of boogie brew for 5 gallons of water. Occasionally I will amend the tea.

You can feed at full strength, I dilute into two 2.5 gallon watering cans and fill with more filtered water to feed more plants, and fees at full strength for cannabis.

Thanks bro, really needed some insight on this. What soil do you use? Thinking of going with ffof ffhf. I have only grown in coco and like the way it produces but I'm trying to grow better. Any suggestions?

If you get a chance check out (defoliating cannabis) does real nice for the lower buds. It's too late now but it can be done twice, once during veg (think 4th week) and (3rd week of flower) don't quote me on weeks. It does work on very leafy plants trust me. I did it to my Blue dream and gave me a big boost. Took off all the large fan leaves that blocked light and wow what a difference.

On soil, depends on what you want to put in to her home, ya know? I've had great results with sourcing a high quality local organic compost, organic coco coir, perlite (or other airation medium, perlite is what I had in the garden available), and your choice of dry fertilizer.

I used a premixed bag bought dry fertilizer in my whole garden this season to "amend" all our beds, though I would pick up, individually kelp meal, alfalfa meal, fish meal, humic acids and their vegan mix from down to earth, that's just my input on a quick jotting down of notes.

Fox farm does come premixed, and when you look on the bag it will read basically the same components as I listed above. Just depends on how much soil you need right now, and if you want to pick up bulk as to have extra soil available. At around $10 a bag for 1.5 cu ft, I feel it's worth to build soil on our own.

Thanks bro, appreciate your help. I have some auto that I'm going to germ this weekend and a month before I harvest I'm putting down some cbd critical mass and amnesia kush. Run both strains for a year or so.

She's finishing her 8th (or 9th, I'm hazy on exact date) week of flowering. We have rain on the forecast for the most of next week and weeks to follow.

Tarp her up again? Or harvest, and cut her down?

Have you checked her for amber or cloudy. If you really feel she is done snatch her up if not , it really hurts to loose that last bit of potential ripening for flavor and grade. If you can handle another week without the risk of mold or mildew from the upcoming rain. One

She's showing some purple from the cold nights, and yes I want to construct a greenhouse and put up the led's I have so she can finish.

Just two more weeks and she will have locked up, and swelled properly.

Challenge is, running power the 20ft to where she's planted, and keeping the whole space dry and ventilated.

I have solutions, just requires the work.

How did you deal with the caterpillars? I had a bit of a problem with them on my Cherry Pie, which they seemed to be much more attracted to than my other strains (GG12, Lambsbreath, GG4)

Next year I will definitely have a bug-zapper as I observed the little white moths flitting around at night.

Try a cayenne foiler spray. Good for all kinds of pest rob, especially spider mites

I've pulled off over an ounce from mold, have about two ounces drying and two more days of rain.

Tuesday on looks like sunshine, I may just let her go until the suns out so she can finish up under organic light and heat.

I'm cutting down my GG4 tomorrow

found 3 little stalks showing the beginning of botrytis and have a little PM as an added bonus

sure ain't like last year

Pulling her down slowly. So far, the medicine is a nice subtle caffeinated clear head feel good high.

The flavor is way off, not to disrespect her ya know, but it's real spicy and almost a "dirty" taste, but smooth, and effective.

Much more effective than the early harvest flowers.

Not bad for one of four random bag seeds from an outdoor batch. Who knows if it is really GG#4, I've tried to tell myself that a few of the remaining colas on the plant have a sour kushy smell, but remains to be seen really.
