That's interesting, and also makes sense, but I've never put meat or fish in a compost before.Make sure your temps are up in the compost pile too. Espically with raw meat (fish), which isn't really recommended for composting. Make sure they are up in the 110-160degree zone to kill all the anaerobic bactiria.

Easier to compost vege matter and buy fish emulsion at the supermarket, let someone else do the smelly work for you.
