Do you support squaring off the leaf tips when rooting clones?

Squaring off the leafs decreases the surface area and the amount of moisture transpiring. That and a humidity dome is recommended for rock wool, soil or any non Aero, hydro type cloning.

I just kept popping new beans, next thing I know... I've got 11!
Lower growth of Blackberry plant. When is this going to fucking bounce back?! I measured the runoff ppm from it and it was 1450! How is this possible?! It's fresh FFOF. It can't be THAT hot!

yes i do cause i put clones so close together but as long as there is proper moisture and space its not that necissary in my oppinion

Spider plants are great, especially indoors. Produce copious amounts of fresh air, and are quick-rooting species (Phylum? Genus? One of those...) Either way, I'm worried about the Blackberry gal.
Very crowded. I've noticed that the more plants I put in there, the higher the temps sit. Probably because it's such a small space. But within 3 weeks I should be able to see balls or pistils and nix some of them.
I'll probably end up throwing a couple clones in it (once my plants get big enough to take cuttings) and see if I could do one clone all the way through flower in it. It's a cheap investment, surprisingly enough.Look at your garden grow

It seems to freshen the air quite well. Should I keep feeding the BB plant straight water until the PPM's get down to a normal, managable amount (Say... 400 ppm)? I feel like this plant is just fucking with me left and right.

I was looking for something else to grow so I think I'll give those spider plants a go. I wanted something that could help mask the smell of the mj because the misses has a sensitive nose.

I don't understand why is pruning a bad thing? It tightens up the spacing between leaf sets, causing more leaf sets resulting in more nodes for buds to grow from.

its bad to prune leaves in flower!! in veg its not so bad thats just training your plants to do what you want them to do

So a buddy recommended I use lemon juice to lower my pH at a tablespoon per gallon (This might be wrong, I'm pretty stoney, but I have it written down elsewhere) in order to go form 7.4 to 6.3. So 1 TBSP Lemon juice = -0.9 pH.
So I mixed up a little batch of Silica, Grow it Green, and Nirvana (~130 PPM after subtracting base PPM) and fed it to the newest member of the 5-leaf club. The bigger Blackberry girl is still looking like poop. I've been flushing with pH'd water and not wasting my nutrients on her. If she's meant to come back alive, she will. With the temperature outside cooling down around these parts, my grow closet temps have been sticking around 80 degrees, and no higher than 82. I'll post pictures tomorrow or the next day.

i took the day off from the build to play with my kids but i will be right back at it tomorrow after my crab fishing trip...
as far as the lemon to lower ph i heard lots of people talking about that but i dont remember if its 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon per gallon? good to know and remember just in case i ever run out of ph down... or if my ph meter were to fail me again... gotta love the cool winter grows, cant wait for the pics...

My gal wandered off to sleep, so now I'm back here. I've got a legal pad that I've been filling with notes (measurements of lemon juice to use for pH down, what each individual supplement does, lighting distance, et al.) so I can refer back to it in case I need to. I may start probing around among the RIU to see which nutrients raise the pH, and which lower it as I know there are quite a few noobs around here who also don't use/have a pH meter. If you were to know a relative amount of how drastic the change in pH, one could accurately guess the general range of their nutrient solution before feeding it to their plants. Just a thought, maybe one day I will have all the information I need to compile the list.

I hear baking soda can raise pH, I'm not sure at what ratio though. Makes sense to me since baking soda is a base.

You're going to fuck everything up trying to adjust Ph in soil. Just leave it alone, Ph in soil should be the last thing on your list to fix.
