How's it going fellow noobies! I wanted to introduce you to our Scott's OG.
She is in her 86th day of veg now and is filling out her scrog nicely.
She is our second grow but this time we decided to go straight organic.

What do you think? The video above lists her progress as well as the organic nutrients that we have been using this year.

Plant looks nice but not so much a scrog as it is a support system for your plant . Next time you might want to try a much wider screen and start the screen quite a bit lower . That plant looks like it should treat you well none the less

Thanks for your input! I wasn't really planning on going too serious with this grow so there are indeed a few things that I would have changed. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to go with a larger scrog. ERggh, decisions decisions. Thanks for your suggestion Wood780!

Either way looks like u did a nice job keeping her healthy and the screen will help support the fat buds as she grows but next time just try to get the screen lower and weave the plant mor so it gets nice and wide instead of tall in this pic the screens abouth 6-7 inches above but the net is 4'×4' . This is a week into 12 12 so now ill just let it go but everytime its a couple inches above tuck it under untill u see buds forming and stretch stopping

Very nice wood! Is that supplemented LED lighting? thats dope! Best of luck to your lady ;) What kind of nutes are you giving her now?
Also, what is the purpose of having the scrog set so low? I've done it lower once before and told myself I was going to let it go higher for the next grow.
I intentionally set the scrog a bit higher so that she had more time to veg. Was that a bad idea you think?

I just thought lower would mean less time to fill screen . But it is a bit of a pain watering with it so low I just didnt want to have to cut as much off my underside . This is my first scrog also so im learning aswell

Nice, so you are probably about where we are now too huh? I think our scrog is about 75% filled. How about you? I just amended the soil with more bone meal for the added phosphorous for the buds a week or two ago. Any tips on the transitional period?

My screens pretty much full now . Id say keep tucking during transition until stretch slows down and u see buds forming . and dont be in a rush to switch to your flower feeding schedule the extra veg nutes during the first week or two will help keep your leaves green longer into your flower cycle . Ive rushed into the bloom food thinking my buds would be bigger or grow faster and my plant got n defic pretty quick into flower

Great advice. thanks for your input. We are growing organically this time I think I'll be using bat guano as a side dressing. I really do miss playing with hydro too though. But you got deficiencies by rushing the nutes? How so? Did it end up locking some nutes away?

Just switching between the bottled nutes the veg is higher n and then the bloom is lower n and higher p k . So I got n def all I had on hand was some earth worm castings to battle the problem . Id like to get more into the type of soil building your talking about . I dont know just to be truly organic

If you are up for a good read I would highly suggest Jeff Lowelfel's Teaming With Microbes.
If you want to learn about building soil and what it means to be organic, I would definitely suggest starting with that. Otherwise, you can ask me! I would be glad to answer whatever questions you may have ;)

If you lower the screen to 8" above the container, you can shorten your veg by 4 weeks, IMO. Otherwise, scrog looks great! I'm doing a one-plant scrog right now too. Peace!

Thanks for sharing afgoo! Yeah, I wanted to experiment with a higher scrog. I'm hoping that the longer time in veg will allow the stems to thicken up even more. With that, i hope to see even larger buds ;)
