It's alright guys, this type of thing just shits in your own fishtank, remember it's YOUR fishtank, letting an outsider contaminate your world is only harming yourself, besides, he think he apparently won some sort of argument, and thinks I am being silent because he is right.
Ridiculous really, considering what I said was a well know geological fact, but whatever, I was in a less than optimal mood myself.

I feel like I need to clear up something... Only the shit that I said on his page is made up. I dont go around lying about being in the military. 1st Cav Infantry and I didnt get kicked out, I signed a bogus contract and they let me out. They promised me a sign on bonus and a Gi Bill kicker. They would not honor my contract, so I got out and didnt sign another one!

I know I'm late as fuck to this grow. Skip perlite, that's what peats for. You'll hold too much water in this
1:1:1:1 compost: ewc: sandyloam: peat with an organic blend of 1/3 cup of 3-3-3 with trace elements (home depot has an -Epsoma with a decent mix for 15$) or like so and some bacteria cultured bokashi so you can ignore your pH unless you feel like using chem salts as fertilizers. A soil can be looked at like aa salad of particles and elements. Sand is a large particle with no water retention and likely only minerals for nuteirion. Peat is a medium particle with the retention of water but little nutritional value. Vermicastings are 1-0-0 so will allow for a low feed to volume ratio and small particle size to bond the medium and large into a fluffy OK draining soil but will still need regular mature compost to feed the rest of your spectrum of requirements and break the soil into a more rich and we'll drained mixture.

1:1 each part of any volume

Limit to one of type drain and one retain.

Perlite can be turned into carbon structures to build up plant mass.

Carbonized saw dust or carbonized grain hulls are my favorite. In 3rd world Asia we got sacks upon sacks for change it seemed.
