dude it is :( it was a very difficult science to learn and learn enought to actually say you could do it, my issue is i dont have the equip (or the cash to buy it)to upkeep the cultures that shit can and will get pricey. that kit only gets you started.

yea but cloning is taking a stick that wants to grow and growing it...culture is like cutting off your ear and growing a human as I understand it ?

Then again. The red hairs your plant is showing is not a good enough reason for a tissue culture. The reddening could even be caused by wind, rain or stress.

well basically in a nut shell you want a few pieces of plant material to work with, since there is no guarantee how the cells will develop correctly. meaning if you had a small sample you would have to keep culturing till you get a feasible plant then make cutting from that to make clone cultures. this is without using hormones. if you use them then organizing the cells from less material is easier but on the flip side may make the plant genetically damaged in some way.
basically it is cloning cells in a substrate that can be directly absorbed by the cells(instead of having to create job specific cells) in a super STERILE way. let me stress that last part if you don't have the area to be SUPER STERILE and STAYS SUPER STERILE(like an extra grow tent) its not even remotely feasible to do.

I assure you Ive stressed all my Jedi's the same and I have no wind or rain ( GH in the summer - Cali ) But I'm sure that is plausible to have a stressed plant show signs like that, not sure exactly why it would get red, its not like a bug or rain or wind will be scared or less harsh on it :)

I think a Bee would be more attracted to it in any case but I have come to realize that bee's don't do anything for Cannabis as far as the Female plant goes. I never see bee's in my GH unless they accidentally managed to make their way in there and they're trying to make their way through the 6 Mil lol..would be cool though to have bees humming around the pistils though.

ih and you asked me if i have successfully tissue culture, umm no, but i have made attempts, personally i have not focused on it since i do not have the cash to get the equipment to make it worth doing. i have had cell growth but i failed when i came time to transfer. sterile conditions can be hard to create and a little pricey.

I would rather just stick to seed or clone. Will seeds transfer that trait ?

yes the trait could be transferred but it would take a lot of seeds to find it again and a long time of breeding to refine it. oh well i was just telling you no biggie life goes on.

snowstorm contains a pgr. A plant growth regulator that is not safe for human consumption.

It is called paclobutrazol.

Do not use.

Is not organic.

just re veg her- man itl work chop her down a bit early, leave some plant material on, let her keep growing.
in a veg light cycle, or take a clone root it the re-veg it.. not hard, but id definitely want to keep her around man

yeah hes an outdoor grower i wish he would clone it too but he doesnt have a "place" for it i guess.

I don't have a " place " for it now, where Im growing I'm not allowed to per say but i did it anyways. ill give it a whack when i chop her down. keep a few leaves on the stalk and run some cfl's in my GH 24/7 and see if she takes.

it is so long as plant material is played with first. getting a spore in a culture would be devastating. but also possible very interesting. considering it was the right kind of spore :)

i have had my hand at both with mixed results i want to get back into it once i have some more equip. for it, hepa filter grow tent just for it, a whole clean room with shelves and positive pressure.
