Organic Resin Boost

I can't remember if I heard that Alfalfa juice sprayed on your plants increases resin production ? Im trying to keep as Organic as possible and reframe from using stuff like humbold snow storm or purple max which I don't believe is OMRI accredited. So does anyone have a resin boosting homemade juice they have concocted ? Im very interested in making my own brew for this :eyesmoke:

Thank You

Alfalfa produces Triacontanol, which is (supposedly) the active ingredient in snow storm. So I would assume using freshly brewed alfalfa tea would have the same effect as snow storm, assuming snow storm has any effect in the first place (i've never tried it). You may want to keep the brew-time short too, so that the triacontanol dosnt have a chance to break down before you use the tea.

AACT. Let the microbes worry about exactly what and when to feed the plants. It can be applied to both the rootzone and as a foliar.

Snowstorm is KOH which is the chemical fert used to provide potassium. For an organic grow blackstrap molasses can do the job instead. It provides plenty of available K and also carbohydrates to feed the microbes. Other organic sources of K are kelp meal, worm castings with banana peels (use organic only) and greensand.

For the best frosting it seems like cooler canopy temps help.

I caved and bought snow storm..it seems the hydro guy said yes alfalfa will work but there are other things in snow storm that will get you maximum frostiness ...hope i didn't waste 40 bucks

no you didnt waste 40 bucks, the alphaplpha would have worked in combo with other things to get nice effects. the best mix ive made so far, as far as boosting frostyness is a peat moss, alphaalpha, and seaweed extract tea. sterilized then diluted. but this is a bit of work to make. dont spray your plants with AACT they will taste like shit.

snowstorm has stuff you dont want to smoke so make sure to use it at least 2 weeks before harvest and never after IMO

Thanks for the info. I think I'm keeping it to the foliar feeding and thats it cause I have a few to many plants and I don't have enough money to load up big jugs with enough concentration to make it worth it...foliar is most effective correct ?

when it comes to resin yes. instead of feeding to the root which creates the same hormones anyways, it would be faster, more intense and less product needed if you just bypass this system. so foliar is the way to go. my foliar is pretty simple and i like it, that mix i mentioned b4 diluted with water and some Ionic added.(couple ml)

dont know about 1 in a million, but that deep of a red.... well id say its worth its weight in gold hope you kept a clone, not many plants show traits like that. 1 in a couple hundred thousand

As long as you dont spray 'em like right before harvest, they'll taste just fine.
But still, i've always felt it's kind of pointless to use AACT as a foliar spray (im probably gonna get some shit for that, but it's just what i believe). But feeding the surrounding soil with AACT definitely, without a doubt has benefits.
