how are you storing the water? if you just go from the tap to a bottle and close it that might be your problem. I read that you should leave the cover open for 24 hours to let the flouride/chlorine evaporate.

and be careful tasteing the soil, i think theres poo in there.

I doubt this is his problem. I use R/O water (my tapwater is AWFUL!!!) and Happy Frog soil and I still get this same buildup from time to time. I've never had any issues as a result of it though, so I've never really worried about it.:leaf:
