Getting ready to mix up some soil and was wondering how this mix sounds.

Sunshine advanced #4 3cuft (says it expands to 6)
60lbs worm castings
1/2cuft biochar
3 cups Neem meal
3 cups kelp meal
3 cups crab meal
3 cups bio live
3 cups rock phosphate
3 cups alfalfa meal
3 cups bat guano
1 cup kashi blend
3 tbls granular humic acid

9 cups basalt
4.5 cups gypsum
4.5 cups Oster shell flour

I pretty much have everything that the bio live has already in the mix but I figured the extra mycorrhizae would be beneficial ( all pun intended)
I have great white and recharge but figured the bio live would do the trick. I've always used royal Gold Tuper but everyone says peat is better so I thought if try a the sunshine advanced. I have some Big 6 and silica I'm going to spray in when I mix it. This will be my 2nd attempt at organics and any inputs would be much appreciated.

Seems like a lot of gypsum and OSF. I don't know.

I hate math,I keep it simple.Take a 5g pot over fill with peat and dump,5g overfill perlite dump,3g worm casting dump.So approx 15g 2 cuft.
Mix all your food in a bucket. So now to ea cuft add 3 cups and mix.4 cups rock dust mix.Now Sunshine has lime for ph already so go easy on those inputs. Do a slurry test on the sunshine see where your at.

Shouldn’t you be considering ph as well? I’m about to make some and know the ph of everything beforehand so my end mix will be about 5.5 ph and water with tap 7.0.

maybe I should make medium 5.2 , not positive new at mixing soil, with an actual purpose

your making a lot just a few gallons for me

What's a slurry test?
Unless you have a soil ph meter it is to find out the ph of the soil. I have a meter and a have not done a slurry test before so will suggest to wait or look it up.

I think you could also run water through a pot of your soil and let that soak in for a little bit then water a little more and catch that run off for a good idea of medium ph.

a lot of people in organic say not to worry about ph. I personally do like ph to be on point

Why a dead mix. I don't understand. Could you please explain. I used a very similar mix for these zskittlez clones and 3 SSH from seed and they seem to be doing well except for some slightly neon yellow tops on a few of the fan leaves on the strechy sativa dominant ones. When I 1st moved them to 5 gals they did take forever ( like 2 weeks to need watered again but now it's like 3 or 4 days) and that definitely was unusual

Composting/ humus is the key to unlocking valuable nutrients. Decaying plant matter means more than side dressing.

Oh I understand now. That's my worm casting. I have 2 urban worm farm flow thru worm bins. I feed them wigglers good to. They get bananas, avacodos, kitchen scraps, egg shells, coffee grounds, all the leaves I defoliate etc
