overfeeding microbes can be bad...
not just her's either.. read it in other books as well

i never had a problem with it, when i use to use it... used it in the last couple weeks of flower...
but after readin about the soil foil web made more sense not to use it...
dont think using diluted molasses once a month would hurt it tho...

Kinda Old School, but I'm surprised that no one mentioned Robert Rodale (Rodale institute, Organic Gardening and Farming magazine, etc), or, Ruth Stout, the mulch queen.
As I get older and more broken down, I'm tending more and more to Ruth's viewpoints (Mulch, mulch and then, more mulch). Check out any of her books.
