just been flicking through your journal and i have to say - awesome mate. Just wanted to say hi.

im only a noob with one failed crop under my belt (Big Bang from GHS that turned hermie and ruined my Seedsman White Widow - only had 5 weeks flower when i noticed the polinated girls - chopped early) but love reading through more experienced journals and the vertical grows like your look so good - especially with your water cooled lighting setup.

cheers EA.

I can tell the pics dont do them justice ;-)
the nugs look like they're really packin on the weight and frosting up now.
how many weeks are you going to let them go?

Probably 9weeks total beacuse skunk #1 is a longer strain. The Killawatt and Violator will only get better given an extra week.

I'll be at week 7 on monday so i'll be running half strength and gravity into a slow flush then we'll cut the HID's that wash out all the pictures and get a pro in with a good camera

I ended up getting 2.2lbs off this grow. I believe the yeild could have been increased by moving the light up and down so the plants get more even light coverage. If I would have completed the stadium the yield doubles. It was a fun experiment but not very practical. I had a hard time accessing he plants to spray. What I learned from this grow is that vertical is an extremely efficient use of light but the aeroponic system is like a hot rod one hitch and everything dies! The bud although big were also not very dense, they turned out very nice though, nobody complained when they got a 1/4 oz of purple violator that looked like a 1/2oz of pine cones.
I do have some beautiful pictures taken by a professional of the finished product when I get a chance I'll upload them.
This learning process has evolved my growing technique to what I call tree/forest style. I am just suspending bare bulbs vertically into the canopy. This allows me to grow small trees there are several plants in flower that break the 6ft barrier. I don't top the tree just trim out the inside branches and sometimes break the top if it looks like it will get too tall. Bigger plants yeild more to some plants give over a pound. I'll post some pics of a small test room with 2000w hung vertically. I recently pulled two plants out of this room yielding me 1.5lbs there are still four more to harvest . . .

Here we are total cost to build this room is about $400;-) One Dayton blower, two valuline ballast, lamp cords with socket, bulbs, one old fan, and a small window a/c cut into the wall opposite the exhaust. Vertical grow is not only efficient but can be really cheap too!

The strains in here are: Blueberry x Big Bud, Cinderella 99, SAGE, Pure Gold, Train Wreck. I harvested the SAGE and Pure Gold the other day.View attachment 1438172View attachment 1438173

PS- Forgot to add that all these plants get 1/4 turn every two days so the whole plant is evenly lit.
