Original Strawberry Cough?

Hi all,
I have been wanting to get my hands on the original strawberry cough for a long time now. I see Dutch Passion has it, and so does Dinafem. I have heard too many hermy-reports about DP so I am staying away from this company. Dinafem's verison is very pricey. Has anyone grown these out? Would appreciate any info you peeps might have on this strain. Thanks !

hazeman seeds @ attitude seedbank stocks strawberry cough regulars cheap, ive bought some & will grow them out next year, with intention of outcrossing, ive never grown them before & have no idea what this actual strain from the hazeman will turn out like

I've seen herm reports everywhere I take it with a grain of salt DP got it from Kyle Kushman but if you can somehow get the seeds or a cut by way of Kushman thats the way to go imo but last I knew he didn't sell it online so closest to the original I'd have to say DP.

The Dutch Passion version is NOT Strawberry Cough. The story about Kyle giving them clones is an internet rumor started by DP to make their version seem plausible enough to purchase. DP has always gotten by slapping popular names on their strains, despite having nothing to do with the originals, that's well documented.
I can't speak for the Dinafem version, as I don't know anyone that's grown it, and there's not a ton of info on it out there.
Hazeman's version is a back cross of Strawberry Cough, so at least the real genetics are in there, even if a bit diluted. The same goes for Brian Berry Cough from TGA, which is Strawberry Cough x Space Queen. Those are probably your two best choices for Strawberry Cough genetics in seed form.

Thanks for the replies. Have some other strains to run in the meantime, while i hunt down the obscure original.
PS- Dinafem actually states that they received their genetics from Kyle Kushman... but who knows if its the truth, or simply a marketing strategy.

I have been looking for the same, but from what I have found every breeder selling "Strawberry Cough" in seed form has a version where a female SC clone has been crossed with a male of another strain. So as far as I can tell, there are no F1 pure Strawberry Cough seeds. MotaRebel has several Strawberry-based strains and the lung candy #1 appears to be from a good gene pool because its a SC X Strawberry Diesel (SC X NYC Diesel), so a SC backcross with SC phenos and NYC Diesel phenos. Maybe if you got a SC pheno from a pack it would be close.

Then I see that Kushman has a dispensary "Buds and Roses Collective" in Studio City, CA and they are supposed to have the original in clone form there. Not sure how you could get it. Or why they just cant use colloidal silver and make S1 feminized seeds from the clones. I assume if it could have been done it would have been done by someone else already.

Kushman also said in a YouTube video he got the original SC as a clone from someone who asked him to check their garden and then gave him the clone as a gift. So Kyle said he wasn't impressed and was considering throwing the clone away, but it was in a paper bag and when he got home he opened the bag and smelled the strawberries so he grew it out. I wonder then why didnt he go back and get get males and produce seed once he realized how different it was? And the greater question is why doesn't the original breeder get credit for it as Kushman didnt breed it at all, but was just gifted a clone of it from someone else. I can understand if someone didn't want to be identified for various reasons, but at least they could be given credit for developing the strain, Kyle didn't, but sure seems to be getting all the credit for it. Just my opinion. Kyle?

I have a Dinafem SC seed, gonna pop it next run. Will look into Hazeman's version too. Have a StrawberryBlue from WOS going now, 4 weeks into flower. Might be nice stuff, who knows?

Grew 2 Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough outdoors for shits afew yrs back..one was imo crap..the second was a stellar surprise in comparison ..artificial strawberry smell..sweet and smooth smoke after a nice cure but from what i recall not much for potenccy..i didnt expect much in the first place..so finding something even the slightest bit good after seeing negative reviews was nice..and lucky..

all said and done..i wouldnt recommend DP Strawberry Cough.. yield was medium/average

I got some Holy Smoke Strawberry Diesel to mess with eventually..theres a long list that keeps getting longer. Ive hear good about Hazemans version aswell..

Kushman did give Dinafem the cut. I have yet to try it though.

I brought down a dinafem strawberry cough a few weeks ago and am just getting into it. I had an extra spot and they were fem so I thought I'd drop one. Not much strawberry to be found in my bean and my pheno must have been more sativa leaning. I've found myself rambling like I'm on some yo sometimes and I've never before understood what people meant by "speedy" weed but this was it. Gave a couple bowls to the babysitter the other night and when we came home everything was cleaned like a tweaker been there.

I don't really like the taste but others seem to like it.. It has improved some with cure but I'm not exactly looking forward to the next one coming down and I got rid of the clones.. It was a very head high and while I've enjoyed most sativas this smoke left me wanting some indica.

I'm sure I'll get around to the the rest of the pack but I will be reaching over it the next few times I have a space I need to fill.

Lotsa triches and pretty buds but the high kinda reminded me of the cpl autos I grew once.
