Hey Dewey, been lovin your garden man!! :eyesmoke:

I was wondering what light I would use to grow Parsley, Cilantro, and other herbs in a grow box. (Since they dont seem to like my lil outdoor garden =/)

Perhaps MH?? And if anyone knows, what lighting schedule should I keep them on?

P.S. Sorry for the mini hi-jack (ill be gone as soon as master gardener Dewey answers =P)

I would say either a 250 MH or a T5. I have a T5 with 8 bulbs in it that are 2 feet. And every plant loves that dam thin like crazy. IM sure a 250 would be good, but for veggies, The T5. I have 2 cilantro plants, and have had them for about 5 months now. It grows fast enough to eat off of and keep re vegging. For hebs its perfect. I have put them in my flower rooom, but it was a mistake, they flowered and less cilantro. So continue to just leave them in veg cycle, feed tap water and grow big and bloom big and they will spring to life like crazy.

No problem at all bro! For the light schedule, 18/6 works great for me w/ a small 6" fan, will work great. The T5 works great, low heat, low power usage, and cheap to replace bulbs that typically last a long time. But make sure u get a good ballast The one I have keeps eating up bulbs a like crazy! I have replaced 4 bulbs in 4 months. Must be the ballast!

All the peppers take about a week to 2 weeks. The Oregano is almost instant, but slow growing. The fucking Parsley I have never been able to sprout. Those fucker have not done anything in 2 weeks. I have even tried the wet napkin a try too. Maybe I just need to place them in soil and drench them. Who knows.

The parsley from the information that I gathered take 3-4 weeks to sprout. I think I gave up at three weeks in the past, and that was my problem, on top of not keeping them soaking wet 24/7 and did not have a heat mat.

Now with the heat mat, huge difference so far with all the other veggies.

As with almost any seed, if it dries out during germination, it is goodbye...

I had a hard time getting cilantro and parsley going in rockwool but eventually the parsley started...had to put cilantro seeds in papertowel, and then plastic bag it and put it in the windowsill for over a week until some sprouted then transplant to rockwool and it usually started...as the other guy said you have to keep the rockwool wet or it will die...my parsley is going strong now but I don't know when to switch to flowering room-any reccommendations?????

With cilantro you never want to put into Flower beacsue you just want the leaves for harvest. I would assume the Parley would be the same. I have no problem getting cilantro to grow right out of rockwool, but this dam parsley is not doing anything. So I will wait, and in the mean time, I think I am going to soak some parsley seeds in a napint for a week or so, then place in RC. Will keep ya updated.
