Out door heat problems??

After lurking around for a while I decided I need a bit of advice
This is part of my first grow of 3 plants

Background:
I germinated and planted a bagseed (suspected to be grape ape) in the last week of march.
The plant has been outdoors the whole time.
Soil is Kellogg patio plus and local
It’s doing pretty well so far, but a couple days ago, I nonviolently (didn’t break up the rootball) transplanted it. When I did this, I amassed some of the strained solids from a fert tea around the rootball.
After I was finished I gave it a very dilute fert tea (Dr. Earths Organic Tomato veggie and herb) application and chased it with some more RO water.

Today it was around 80 degrees all day and the pot warmed up a lot.
The soil was a bit damp, but not WET.

Was this yellowing and curling of the leaves caused by heat, or is it nuteburn??

this is also my first post so i hope it makes sense

I honestly couldn't tell ya.
I run hydro.
I'm sure someone will come along with some dirt knowledge and help you out though.

Hand in there.

Yes it stressed them because you didn't harden them off, they seem to be growing out of that now and should be ok.

If they have been outdoors the whole time there would be no reason to harden them off. If you fertilized lightly it shouldn't be nute burn. In the 2nd pic it even shows some discoloration on some of the newer leaves which is not a good sign. Your soil looks kind of dense so I'd add some perlite if you repot to a larger pot down the road.

If the baby leaves just coming out develop OK you don't have a problem, but if you get the same brown continue to develop something is going on nutrient/pH-wise. I would not venture a guess as to what it is though, a lot of nute problems loook very similar.

After thoroughly watering it, and waiting a night
there still doesn't seem to be much improvement
should i chop some of the lower leaves?

also is fert tea supposed to smell rancid?
like i know it has guano and meals in it, but it smells PUTRID

Dude i had that before and added lemon peels and it fixed the new growth. My soil PH was too high. Flush with RO and add lemon juice to get the ph down. Prolly need to repot with different soil if possible.

My situation seems to have thoroughly degraded - leaves mostly appear shot
The plant had little sun today, and during that time it got even more fried. Since then I sprayed it with purified water a few times without much effect.

However, the stem still appears healthy, and some tiny new leaves are forming where the stem and leaves meet, that weren't there before the problem
I'm just gonna try and ride it out, see if it might recover
more updates tomorrow

ps. my other bagseed rando's are doing well - still in first pot

It is DEAD hun--sorry....
Looks burnt-- what did you add? Did you get the plant wet then leave it in the sun???

Also-- are you BUBBLING the tea- or is it just sitting?
With Bloodmeal or Guano in it it will have a nasty smell- but rancid means it isn't aerating properly....

Dump it somewhere and start a new batch-- make SURE you get the measurements exact and have a good airpump/stone going--should look like a jacuzzi and get foamy..... Get some dolomite lime for the pH or some organic pH up and down to use... if you aren't checking the pH- you are burning it!

and FYI: Lemon juice is an acid and not meant to be used in small containers-- it heats up as it degrades... like compost... and lemon/orange rinds contain oils and acids that kill the good bacteria in soil... NOT an option!

Start again!

Get better soil...

sad to say best best to start again

had this happen before and cant explain it myself , its not heat thats for sure ( im in the uk ) and can come on anytime , i have walked the ph path finding it wasnt this , i also have had a few outgrow this affliction and become happy and healthy plants , its also not ferts either although you have gone over kill on the food for such small plants , its not fungal either or a product of some other pest , being honest im stumpted , doesnt happen often but still id love to work it out

First of all thank you for your thorough response
I was feeling a little helpless
First real attempt at growing and first time posting in the forum

I took the fert solids from the straining and put them around the root ball when I transplanted it.
Then I gave it a bunch of water when i finished the transplant. After that watering I left it out in the sun all day and it got to about 80º
The pot was warm all day, but moist

Today I got a spoon and really stirred the soil and it smelled gross, with globs of fert solids unmixed
I mixed in some perlite and sphagnum peat moss, watered and then stirred again in a last ditch effort

I'll have to look up that tea bubbling thing

I think it might be lack of soil aeration
or a combo problem cus I stressed it in multiple ways
