Outdoor Florida Container Guerilla Grow: Serious AK47, Diesel Ryder, Fruit Auto

Whats up RIU.. this is my second serious grow. Very serious. I'm determined to get a massive yield by the end of 2010! Last year I did a ghetto bag-schwag seed grow. Lost 'em to flooding, as I do live in Florida, so thats something Im trying to circumvent this time around. I know Im very late, which will hurt my yield. damnit. but due to limited resources this is the only time of the year i can start. I'm going to try to explain everything i do so we can all learn from my mistakes/successes.

Heres my arsenal:
11X Serious AK47 (reg/photo) [7 gal pots]
10X Joint Doctor Diesel Ryder (reg/auto) [2 gal pots]
1X Dinafem Fruit Automatic (fem/auto) [2 gal pot]

The Background:
My 11 autos and 11 non-autos will be kept seperate. Something like two main locations, and 2-4 sub-locations at each, if that makes sense. Ive spent easily 12+ hours searching for good locations and have succeeded, i hope. They will get TONS of sunlight, thats what matters! I believe they are well hidden, even though a telephone tower lurks above my AK spot. I spent 4 hours last night running 6 bags of soil, 1 bag of perlite, and 22 containers to my first 'drop points'. Walking through the swamps at midnight sucks. Then 3 more hours this morning getting the stuff to the final locations and getting everything ready. Its hard work, so i have to remain stealthy to ensure it doesnt go to waste. I should have my seeds planted in a couple days!

The Order:
I decided to order from Attitude, as that seems to be the go to place for seeds. I paid about $180 for base seeds. I was supposed to get 3 TGA 3rd Dimension and 3 TGA Jack the Ripper freebies, but those did not arrive. A little disappointed, but hell i still have 25 beans! I did get 4 other freebies, all dinafem. 3 I'll keep for next year, and 1 I will attempt to grow. Anyhow, order arrived in 10 business days. I did the stealth shipping cause im paranoid. Free shirt and pot leaf contact lenses too. Idk about using Attitude for any possible future grows. They did good, but my subcool seeds were left out .

The Tools:
Went down to the hydro shop and got my fox farm soil and my containers. Im using Ocean Forest for my AKs with some perlite ("4 grade") and natural soil. All my autos are gonna be on that Happy Frog + extra perlite. I read that my Diesels are sensitive to nutes so I'm going lighter on them. Im using containers because it floods out here. My Diesels are in a denser part of the swamp so they will be up on cinder blocks to avoid high water. If it ends up being a dry summer, w/ no flood threat, then I will transplant some of my plants into the ground. so, my guestimates are:
Diesel / Fruit Auto : 2 gal pot, 1.25 FFHF, 0.5 perlite, 0.25 natural soil
AK47 : 7 gal pot, 5 FFOF, 1.5 perlite, 0.5 natural soil
Numbers are like that because I didnt have enough money to buy an extra bag, and it works for me..

I'll get some pictures up later of the kind of environment im working with right after i plant my seeds.. Should be 3 days or less. Feel free to post or ask questions

Took longer than expected but everything is going great. i used the paper towel method to germinate and 7/10 Diesel Ryders germinated, 1/1 Fruit Autos, and 11/11 AK47s. Here are the pics. Ill post later when things get more interesting.

my excuse for that is there was rain in the forecast, didnt want them to get too much water. but i do make sure i water them good. one AK47 and one of my autos were eaten by them damn DEERS.. im pretty sure that it was a diesel and not the fruit auto, i need to check that later. it was night when i went out. really hope it wasnt the fruit though lol. i cut the tops and bottoms off soda cans and am using them as a deer shield while the plants are still young. 10/11 AK's strong, 7/11 Autos strong. updates on the AK patch! group pic is kinda cool.
once they get larger ill bring out the real camera instead of my shitty phone cam

10 days old and good news. i checked on my auto patch and the fruit auto is still alive. its doing the best out of all 6. bad news is there are 6 left because it appears that a deer ate another plant. so i put my soda can shields up. should stop those fuckers until i get my fishing line out. i also gave them some pesticide (safe for vegetables) and a weak bleach solution to prevent pests. most are on 4th set of leaves. thats it for these guys.. smoke away and post away RIU

i'm not familiar with outdoor tricks of the trade, but wouldn't the aluminum in the can cause hot spots?

i get where you're coming from though, if you don't have fishing line you gotta use something!

never thought of that.. it looks like they're doing fine though so ill just keep an eye on them

Updates on the Autoflower patch:
Plants are 5-8'' tall excluding the runt. They are all 22 days (3 weeks 1 day) old from seed, and i just confirmed 3/6 as females! The fruit auto is a female. Out of the other 3, 1 is a runt. The other two I cant determine the sex quite yet. I promise you guys ill roll out the cool pix soon and put some close ups on. There seems to be no aluminum burn from the cans. I haven't given them any nutes yet, I plan to go get some or atleast some molasses in a couple days. Thats about it.. Update on the AK patch in several days

ok here are the close ups of the diesel ryders. i could only get one that clearly shows the pistils though (fifth pic). I pulled the runt, leaving 5, and all of them are looking like chicas. im going to start a new journal on my AK47s because they still have a while to go. guess i should have planned this better... any good flowering nutes that i should go buy or would it even be worth it?

5 remaining autos doing great. the fruit auto is actually doing the best.. im not sure which one it is though, ill label it in the next update. here are some pictures of the small budsites beginning to develop. no nutes, lst, or topping/fimming. just gonna let them grow

Good pics, I'm currently doing an outdoor grow in Thailand a with a couple of lowlife ak47 autos. On day 37 just got my first hairs pop out so flowering is starting?? (this is my first grow ever) and my AK 47's are standing 12 - 14 inches tall. Understand where your coming from with the deer. Lizards have eaten a couple of other AK seedlings in my grow. Good luck with the grow, keep it updated, i'll post a couple of pic of mine when i get a new camera.

I hate all these animals and insects thinking they can fuck with our plants. and yes, white hairs or pollen sacks = flowering. Your girls should get significantly bigger and start putting more energy into buds rather than new branches and leaves. How many ya got? GL to you too bro.

Ok I got some good pics of spiderman and some other bug. I want to know what it is. It was eating some of my new growth at the top. I tried to squish him, but jumped away. Spiderman was on the end of a fan leaf . Didnt look like a threat, but killed it any way. Also found some tiny reddish eggs? Crushed 'em. As for my girls, they are doing fantastic, I have roughly 3-4 weeks left

most recent pics. 36 days old. fruit auto is beginning to smell like mango, nice. all of them are stinking. i reckon i have a couple weeks left. i saw some more bugs, but didnt kill them. they didnt look like they were harming the plants

40 days old. been flowering for roughly 3 weeks. about 2-3 weeks left. its hard to wait but i will do it. on average, about 10% of the pistils are brown and withered. that bug has been eating my buds and i think im just going to move the plants at night. everything else is great. the fruit automatic smells like mango / alcohol / apple juice / dank. it looks like it will yield the most by far! the diesels smell like diesel and dank sweetness

hey dude, awesome grow. I live in South Florida and came by to check out ur grow looks like u might have a while before u can harvest those babies tho. I got one plant in my backyard thats about 2 months old and just started showin preflowers. Jw where in florida are u located? dont wanna get too specific cuz of the damn FEDZ but good luck on ur grow man ill deff be checkin up on this grow.
