Outdoor grow 2020

Hey everyone,

Hope you all are well with all the madness, and have some plants to tend to pass the time. This is my first grow in about 10 years, figured I'd start a grow journal of my journey. Any and all help/comments are appreciated!

Started 5 plants from a mixed seed bag of God Bud, Grand Daddy Purps, Tuna Kush, and G13 Haze. Have 3 of one variety, and 1 of two other different varieties. Growing these girls in central BC.

I'm currently 5 weeks in, I vegged them inside under a "1200W" LED for 4 weeks then moved them outside, where they've been for 4 days now. Topped them all at about 3 weeks when they had 5-6 nodes. Only hardened them off for 1 day but they seem to be loving the full sun and are growing like crazy.

Using ProMix and feeding them Green Planet's G3P nutrient system (first feed this morning, mixing at half strength. After nutrients are added the water is pH6.3, I dont have a ppm meter but I know the water here is low (around 40 ppm). Currently being careful to water in the perimeter surrounding the plant as they are still small compared to the containers - two are in 170L (45gal) tubs, two in 120L (30gal) tubs, and one smaller one which I'll transplant at some point into a 200L tub.

So far so good, good growth on all and no visible issues. I posted another thread about one plant growing strange leaves but it seems to be doing alright. More to come, I feel like a big kid being able to grow in my backyard these days :D

Cheers growers!

Why didn’t you fill your tubs all the way ?
I bought 3 bales of promix and ended up switching a couple containers around, just what I ended up with. With the size of the containers I wasn't too concerned about an extra couple inches of soil lol

Happy Father's Day to all you dads!

Gave the girls their first feeding in a while yesterday, they were looking a little sad the last couple days and they've since perked right up. The taller inches just reached 3 feet as of today, and the LST on the bushes is going well.

Using Green Planet's GP3 kit, been mixing at 50% but jumped to 75% this time.

Hope you all have a great weekend, cheers!

Plants look like they enjoyed their feeding, lots of new growth the last few days and they've been awfully perky :)

Did some pruning and made some clones to give away to all my slacker friends/family who didn't get after it too. First go at it so we'll see if they take.

Cheers!

Looks great. Curious, how many times have you topped them? I’m growing a couple plants outdoors (first grow) and live in B.C. as well. I’m way behind you tho!

Hey Skunk, thanks!

I only topped the girls once when they were small (around 6 nodes high), haven't done anything other than tying branches down and periodic pruning to keep the interior of the canopy open.

Good luck with your first grow!

Still dealing with periodic wind storms but the temperature has increased quite a bit, other than couple broken stems from the wind things are looking good. They are starting to stink up the whole yard now too :D

If you are already getting broken branches then I suggest giving them some sort of support soon or you will lose a shit ton of braches once the buds get heavy

Thanks for the tip, I've staked them up since then to avoid further issues. They'll get moved to their final spot for the season soon which should resolve my wind problem.

Cheers.

The seed company ID'd the plants for me and it looks like the three on the right are God Bud, and the one on the far left is Green Crack. Nice to finally know what I'm growing!
