Outdoor Grow Questions

Hello All!!!!

A Friend of mine donated 3 approx 4 week old Mystery Clones to me about a week ago. Since then i have put them in Fox Farms soil in 4 inch pots...

I have been feeding them with just distilled water as i heard the PH is just about right for them...

I have read that people say it is to early for them to be outside right now but its my only option.. Myself like others i have researched noticed my plants to already take to flowering after about a week...

I had planned to use the FOX FARMS feeding schedule but i am confused with what week i should start on?

Will it start flowering and kick itself back into VEG or just rideout flowering... Ill add some pictures tomm... Thanks All!!

Good news also. Just picked up a 12x7 Greenhouse for my girls plus other veggies...lol:joint:

Attached is the Foxfarms feeding schedule for Soil. What would you reccomend i start at and do i follow it exactly since it is outdoors.

What size pots should i transplant them into. i dont want HUGE plants but 4 feet or so would be more then enough....
they are flowering cuz the days are still kind of short and i think they will start to reveg when the days get longer, i could be wrong though.

the FF feeding schedule is meant for indoor growing so the weeks do not apply for outdoor growing. if you plan to keep them outside until harvest, just remember that on that schedule 18 hours of light is for vegging and 12 hours is for flowering. outdoor plants will veg until around september so i'd say feed them the recommended amounts for 18 hours untill then. if you are using OCEAN FOREST soil, give them half strength because the soil already has a lot of nutrients in it.

im not sure about the pots but as i understand it the rule of thumb is a gallon of soil for every foot you want it to grow. so if you want a 4ft plant, put them in a 4 gallon pot.

im still a rookie, so a second opinion is a good idea haha.

I personally have had the exact same thing happen to 2 of my kush clones they were put into my friends greenhouse and it somehow put just the clones into budding i took them outside planted in all natural soil and harvested 3 oz a plant with just jungle green for veg and better bloom for flower (same as fox farm just canadian brands)

So you let them just rideout the flowering.. How long did you let them sit out for?

When you put clones out in may, clones might start flowering do to the shorter days. I usally wait until the May 24 weekend.

So what do you giys reccpmend foor nutes
If you want to stick with Fox Farms nutes you can still use the schedule. the weeks will not line up though so use what they recommend for veg(i.e. 2-3tsp/gal grow big, and 2tbl or big bloom) until septemberish when they start to flower again. then switch to what they recommend for flowering. again, if you are growing in FF Ocean Forest, give them half strength for a month or so.

Thanks for your quick reply Rockstar... Im trying to stick with the Fox Farm nutes cause my local dealer has it and well i already purchased it...lol. would something like the one part grow bloom system work beter?

I will be going to my local shop tomm and ordering about 70 liter pots for my other veggies and for my girls i will be putting them in 3 to five gallon pots....

My greenhouse will be here on saturday and play to have it setup sunday and will attach pics then..

One final Question..

What would happen if i just fed it the bloom nutes since it is flowering... How long until it gets back into veg.... Sorry didnt know how far ahead there were outside right now...

I have also done some reading and saw that since right now they are flowering.. (the spot they will be in will be probley getting about 10-12 hours of DIRECT sunlight.) that if they did get kicked into veg it would cause added stress and harm the plants?

At worst i could get some more clones in may but just trying to weigh my options before i run to the store tomm..

I'm doing an outdoor grow, but due to my lease on my current house at school running out Aug 1, I will need to have plants out of there by July 31.

On that note, I germinated March 15, put in soil roughly 4/5 days later and right now, all three plants are roughly 5-8 inches tall.

My questions: (due to the time constraints on our land, we have decided to force flowering in late May)

1.What is the best material to use to black out so the plant thinks its 12/12

2. Is there a certain technique of doing it i.e. light/dark cycles or total dark cycles.

3.Will I just need to keep track of the sunrise/sunset and try to keep it as close to 12/12 as I can?

hmmm like i said man im no expert yet, but i did successfully harvest a couple plants last summer using FF nutes. what do you mean one part grow bloom system? did you get the grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom trio? you dont have to use all of them if you dont want, hell you could feed with only big bloom from now until harvest...the buds just wont be as big as using all of them. i dont know if that answers your question haha.

like the other guys said, they will probably start to reveg sometime in may. i dont think it will harm them, but there will probably be some shock and you might not notice any growth for a week or two while their hormones adjust. some indoor growers reveg on purpose after harvest. feeding only bloom nutes wont keep them in flower as far as i know. if they do go back to veg and you feed them bloom nutes, there could be phosphorus issues. you want to give them less P and more Nitrogen during vegitation.

i would def do some research. Fox Farms is fairly popular around the forum and i have found a bunch of threads about it. search for revegging info too, check the indoor sections also. even if its a different situation than yours, the basic info is all relative.

later

i guess its up to you. you sound like you're pretty fixed on that but if they do end up reverting back to veg later i would switch up the tiger for grow.

i dont think it matters where you start the journal. most of the ones in the journal section are indoor grows so you would probably get more help from other outdoor people posting in here. a few people might give you shit for it but honestly....fuck 'em.
