Hi,
Just checking in to see if there are any outdoor growers in the uk and to find out what you are growing and having success with.
I am currently working a couple of new strains for both outdoor and indoor. Pollen chucking, maybe yeah but it's selective breeding not just random pollen chucking.
What genetics are you guys favouring for outdoor uk climate. I am in the north of the uk and I currently have a new strain outdoors which is thriving. It's a blueberry x skunk no1 which I chose a pheno to back cross with. From the offspring I chose two plants, one went out and the other stayed home. Just to see how it handles the outdoor climate. The one outdoors is thriving, the buds turning purple and the pistols bright pink it's not getting fed by me the ground is ok ish and the plant is showing no sign of deficiency. The other which I kept indoor was pollinated with my favourite pheno of flash babilon which I selfed for the pollen. The flash babilon is a lowryder x northern light, the pheno I selected for this was short, single cola plant with no side branching, the bud smells very alike the original lowryder except way more dense and has very curly short pistols like the NL.
My seeds on the blue are nearly ready for harvest, they are almost bursting out of the seed bracts now but not quiet ripe. The F1 offspring will be interesting to play with and pheno hunt my way through them. It should be an interesting old school strain I pull from this NL x Bluberry x Skunk1 x Lowryder. I may even find a couple of new strains to work from the pheno hunt.
I will upload some images at some point, I don't go to the outdoor garden unless necessary, the pic here is plants out early which got hit with frost but survived, the larger plant is the blue and has since come on leaps and bounds.
