Outdoor growing in Pots

Starting my second grow...right now I have about 12 plants about 2" tall growing in 3 gal pots. 2 pot have 1 plant another 2, 2 other pots have 4. Recently I was given some General Hydroponics Floraduo, Floralicious Plus, and some Schultz Plant food plus. In the previous grows I just used Miracle Grow all purpose plant food with okay results. They get about 13 hrs direct sunlight and are watered about 4-5 times a week.

The nutrients I was given, floraduo, floralicious+ and Shultz are they or will they be good to use and when should I start to use them

I welcome any tips and suggestions. I'm not a smoker but enjoy doing it more as a hobby and turning my friends on to some good smoke. You know bragging rights, so I'm not really concern with the quantity of yield but more so quality. So any help I would appreciate and I know my friends will thank you from the top of their heads

More than one plant in a pot is a bad idea....

If one needs food and the other is about to burn what are you going to do?
also one's roots will strangle and choke the others and it will get stunted....
If they are still that small transplant them now.....
also check out training....LST,topping,mainlining or super cropping....
For better herb don't feed too much nitrogen late in the season....
here is the feeding schedule for floraduo http://generalhydroponics.com/site/gh/docs/feeding_sched/GH-FloraDuo-DTW-Charts.pdf

A good rule of thumb is to start with half of what they tell you to use......then slowly bump it up....

this is my first post ever so if I got flamed buckem; i have been growing 40 years. if they do not have a central bud top the hell out of them 'till they start to flower, then stop when the flower; buy a moisture meter and ph meter. mosserlee.com in Wisconsin has them for $5.97 each they do the same job as my 40 dollar meter, just not 17" long; use fish emulsion and kelp concentrate, they have every thing u need for the entire grow just add a little more fish at the beginning and more kelp at the end; less is better than a lot; and will not burn them. ph. should be 6.2-6.8 is acceptable. you can use elemental sulfur to lower/limestone to raise ph. just add a little at a time or u r fucked; cannabis is very adaptable. I use cloth pots, geopots, smartpots are the only way to go; I had hundreds of poly pots from 90 gallon to 1 gallon and I do not use them ever. do not buy yield pots..they are made of vegetable matter and will fall apart before you harvest. I use 5,10,15, 20 gallon for my autos.30, 45, 50, 65 for my non-autos> mostly 45s. I like the big bag bed 50 gallon as well. It resembles a raised bed-sweet shit man.
Senor BrownWater is spot on. not 2 plants in one planter= warring cultivars/ both will never reach its potential. just do not tell anybody u grow, not even urself. when the trichomes turn white ,harvest in the morning. I do not believe in flooding plants in the end whenready to harves. that has never mad any difference to me. I have grown in hydro and soil. I like soil/sun. just grow and enjoy bro. if you ger a male use the pollen on one branch. I like fems because monitoring ur plants for males is serious biz.check every few hours when flowering begins for males. hope that helps dud. it is just a matter of discipline and patience to do the job well. I like crystal paper they are clear and do not wreck the flavor

the biggest I have grown in outdoors is 7 gallons. I might upgrade to 10's this year. Idk though. I think they could really benefit from the 3 extra gallons

When I was in 5 and 7 gallons I was watering every day and feeding every other day. sometimes I would have to water twice a day on really hot days. It depends how large of a plant you have in the container though. That dictates how much the roots are going to absorb.

Ok thanks everyone so I need to move some from one pot to another or into the ground. I plan on moving some to the ground. Now they have gotten a little big. What is the best way to remove them without causing them harm. I started using Floraduo A&b and they are really looking good well to me anyway. So if any really good methods please help it will be greatly appreciated.

If you water and then wait 30 minutes it will help the soil cling to the rootball. After 30 minutes squish the sides of the pot gently and place one hand on top of soil around base of plant so that the main stem is between fingers. Abruptly flip the pot upside down and smack the bottom. The rootball should just pop right out with all soil intact.

My dilemma is I have more than one plant in each pot and trying to minimize the damage to the roots and harm the plants

I personally find it easier when the soil Is a little on the dry side!

new at this so here I go. SenorBrownWater, I think the sulfur is the only thing I know to lower PH organically in soil other that acid based dressings..cottonseed.., except sulfur tiger 90=super fast=90%sulfur&10% bentonite. other crap like aluminum sulfate is synth. and will kill microbial activity. I harvest in the am caus , like a tomato, the plant is full of water and not dried out. just my personal pref. I do not think the buds are affected in any way if you harvest at any time that is convenient. I tend to harvest when it is very dark to hide my trees from eyes. the hills have eyes.
hebrewdiver; dood u need to get a soil meter to actually check the water content of soil. it helps the plant to dry out a little. the branches will droop, then water slowly and deeply. this will help ur roots grow to reach water and helps get oxygen to roots as well. I like the smart pots cause oxy will get to them, pot stays cool, more roots from root trimming terminal root, more nut. uptake/larger plants/HIGHER QUALITY is what u r looking for/larger yield/happy gardener. man I wish I had friends who gave smoke away and grew to give to friends. ur a great guy. get rid of that miracle gro. brew some teas and foliar feed the quality will amaze u and ur friends will buy the ingredients for u to get that killer smoke that u stuff in their stockings

ur r correct sir, (de McMahon) the only place I could grow was on top of the septic leach line field. In Shasta Lake where I used to live I grew in the ground like a nrml person does. had to build 3 hoop housed 10'Wx7'Hx42'L.; had to grow, had to grow. I-livetogrow; growers grow haters hate I grow whever I live, always have always will. from asparagus to zuchinne and all things in between. I stop on C,G,M, P,W cann,Ganja, marjne, pot, weed just grow baby
