ok well i looked around a bit and searched for threads about outdoor growing but couldn't find much. read the growing thread that's stickied in this section, and found a lot of the information very helpful. but anyways, i have never grown before, so this will be my first time. A friend and i have decided to start growing, and we will both be living with our parents for at least another year, so growing inside isn't an option. luckily though, we found an amazing spot behind his house, which is up on a hill and through the woods. it overlooks the bay down below and i think we can find a spot where the plants will get plenty of sunlight. so anyways, we have a good spot, but neither one of us knows how to grow, I've been doing some reading on the internet, but still don't know exactly what to do. so first of all, I'm going to ask a few questions and see what you guys have to say.
1. I live in Northwest Washington state, so the climate up here is pretty mild. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good strains that would be good for me to start with. ive decided i definitely want to grow sativa and not indica, so pretty much anything that wont be too hard to grow, as long as its dank, and as long as its sativa.
2. Some kind of link to any good outdoor growing guide would be great.
3. anything i should know BEFORE, i start growing? like you know, outdoor things, like what kind of soil should i be looking for to grow in? what should i stay away from when looking for a spot?
4. another thing i was wondering was if i will get decent plants without using any fertilizers or things like that.
5. Any tips on keeping bugs and other little shenanigans out of my plants?
i know thats a lot of stuff to be asking, and i have used the search button! although i have to say i probably could have come up with something if i looked harder... but i thought you guys would be a better source of information.
