I kinda goofed in stating that the last vid I posted was 1 month in. It was actually 1 month from the time I finished building the system. I didn't get plants in the thing for another 2 weeks after that. My bad. Don't want to come across a a flake. Here's progress after a month in the system.

Veg is looking good Mike. I`m running toms at EC: 2.8, I`ll swap you some of your sun for our rain..we`ve got plenty to spare :)

2.8? Damn, I'm far below that. Kinda wish I would've put an isolation valve in between the two drums to keep different nute strengths. 110 gallons I think is a bit overkill for what I'm running. Oh well, I'm no stranger to a re-build. :)

I use a 60L (16gal) res on the nft with 40L of nutes in it :) You`ll have to find a happy medium for the EC with different plants on the go. The basil wont like 2.8 ;)

So my ambitions are getting the better of me, and I plan to build me a bigger greenhouse. 50' x 20' high tunnel is what I'm thinkin... The high tunnel may prove to be too much of a pain in the ass, and I may just go standard hoop-house style. Here's the area I've got plotted. I spent a day trying to level the ground as much as possible. With a shovel. :( I got the poly down to kill the grass, and I'm not sure yet what I plan to use to over the poly for walking on. Bark would probably be the cheapest route, but I can see that being a pain. Gravel would be better, but alot more sweat. Here's the hoop bending jig I just finished making to bend the 20' arches. Planning on using 1 1/4" galvanized conduit. I can't help but think I'm biting off a little too much here, but I'm gonna go for it! Oh, and the plan is for 100% hydro, and maybe some aero later down the road. First I've gotta get this greenhouse built. As always, suggestions are welcome.

Here's a sketch of my hoops.

I just love old farms. Ya never know what your gonna find in the tall grass. This monstrocity is a 1500 gallon tank that once held orange hand cleaner. It's 11.5' long and a little over 5' in diameter. Oh, and it cost me absolutely nothing. I love free. I now have dreams of aquaponica. Not quite sure the best way to use the tank??? Pondering cutting it in half & having 2 750's. Be a hell of alot easier to clean/transport. Atomizer, you still here? I don't wanna make any stupid decisions in haste. I'm good at that sometimes.

The tank would be just the right size to supply 2 flood and drain beds that cover the entire floor area, 1000 sq ft x 10" deep. You`d need a lot of pea gravel..about 40 tons :)
