Outdoor Plant Problem!!

So here it is, I got a bunch of small yellow spots on my plants and it’s spreading FAST. And killing my Blue Dream :( I’m pretty sure.

I have been giving my plants nutes since seedling. Along with root stim. As I increased the dosage as the plants got bigger I thought I was putting to much as they were DARK green, or so I thought. I stopped with nutes and root stim and went with straight water. Two weeks or so later and I got this. Have since put back onto nutes and root. It only on 2 of 6, 1 has it bad.

Water: rain water/water from well
Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients Sensi Veg Part A & B

It’s raining now but I will get a picture of the back to you tomorrow. Yeah, I see a couple of the hoppers here and there but not like a crazy amount of them. Could it be them?

They seem to eat a lot. I have em too. Problem is they can fly. So as soon as you kill one, another shows up. And they spread disease.

You can also apply diatomaceous earth to help control them. Get lady bugs to control the young ones and eggs. Can also spot spray with insecticidal soap as needed.
To improve the effectiveness of insecticidal soap, mix 1 tablespoon of isopropyl alcohol to 1 quart of the spray. It helps the soap penetrate the insects’ outer shell.

I have leaf hoppers and they are doing minimal damage to my plants. I have a few basil plants that they seem to prefer to hang out on and aren’t an issue yet. If they are I’ll do something but a small amount of damage doesn’t worry me (they are outdoors after all)

Thanks for the quick replies! I will get out and try and take some more pics. The yellow is basically just the back membrane of the leaf and the top (green) part is gone. Best way I can describe it lol I will look into treating these leaf hoppers.

That looks to me, as definite damage from the fourlined plant bug.
I know this because they have shredded two of my tester ladies out in my cage.
Neem didn't slow them down one bit.
Short life cycle, one generation per year.
I'm riding it out.

I don’t know why but I can’t seem to upload the photos I took of the backs of the leaves. Ended up weed whacking the brush around the plant and trimming off the badly damaged leaves. Going to tie down branches to increase airflow, and if it comes down to it will be buying ladybugs

iv'e been getting those leafhoppers for years and although
it looks bad it never really seemed to cause a problem with the buds,
they chew leaves. i try to kill them when i can but they are fast.didn't
seem to bother them at the end of the year.

Since leaf hopper nymphs aren't capable flyers, a spray with a hose can knock them off your plants and fuck up future generations.

If you want some practice honing your reflexes and you're very still near your plants, adult leaf hoppers will foolishly reappear after their initial fly away and you can clap them to death. It helps to be immensely high when you're doing this and have large hands. Remember though...Really high.
