Outdoor seedlings short indoor vegging period question

Hi all, my first post here and hoping for some advice if possible. I've got some seeds which went into pots and have already sprouted approx 2.5 weeks, then another couple week and a half or so behind those. I used an excellent composition of soil, organic compost and garden soil (very rich and loamy and approx 6.5/7 ph) Today I put one more seed in after soaking the seed for some hours and after it sank I popped it into its own pot with a cover to keep humidity around 60%. All dandy. Now I live in a very sunny region, sunrise 5.30 and sunset 19.30 and getting later so there's good sunshine available. However, I have alot of 58w flourescent tubes available and my question is, would it be any benefit to put all these seedlings into a 18/6 cycle under lets say 2 tubes in order to give them a bit of a boost before popping them into their spot in the ground which is waiting for them by which time the days would be a little longer? I was a tad late in the season and I am just hoping to really stimulate early development as well as promote the possible ratio of females via the cool white tubes. Any advice or input would be much appreciated!

Wrong time of year unless you are in the southern hemisphere. Days start getting shorter and plants go into flower. I put clones out in May before, in New england, and they started to flower then they revegged by early July and went into flower again(real flowering) in early mid August.
