Hey hows it going everyone. I am fairly new to growing outdoors when it comes to using native soil. I am planing to do some outdoor for a change this season (Yes I know I am running late), and due to the location I have chosen, I cannot lug in a crap load of soil with me. I only plan to visit the plants a few times, so I guess you could call it a mini gurilla if you would. I know when it comes to outdoor, you generally want to prepare your holes in the fall and let them cook over the winter/spring, but I missed my chance. Does anyone know a recipe i could use with native soil that doesnt really need time to cook. I was going to bring compressed coco bricks and add it to the native soil to add texture and aeration, along with time released ferts.also dolo lime to adjust ph if needed. I am starting them indoors and bringing them up in a couple weeks. I really dont want to use the time released ferts because of the nasty taste the buds would hold, because it would be hard to flush em out. Can someone please help me out, any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would just go with worm castings and some bat guanos (in addition to the coco.) Find a guano high in N, and maybe another one high in phosphorus and potassium. You wont need a large volume of guanos to make the right amount of ferts present in the soil.

Thanks alot for all of your guys help. Now since I was stoned and forgot to mention the size hole I was digging lol, What kind of ratios would you use if the holes were 2 ft 2ft. I have read alot about using bat guano and i am highly interested, but some people were saying that it needed time to cook into the soil. If this is not the case and what I have read is wrong I much rather go the organic way. again thx guys

Iv'e tried growing organically, am even trying it this year on a few. But i'm forced to grow guerilla style and like doublejj stated animals wreak havoc on me ever time ive tried. It's not jus the blood meal ive had bat guano, bone meal, all dug up. Even tried some stuff called Growilla Veg made by Botanicare this year on a few. I've already had to replant those holes this year.
While we were doing it my partner looked at me and said "Can we finally call it quits on all organic next year" ... I had to laugh :)
Cow Manure doesn't get messed with for me but i dont feel it's enough for my plants all year. Good luck man

Years ago lol bout 23 years :) I done 3 nice plants in a pig shit/soil mix about 40-60 ratio might not be the best mix now but man they were boomer plants.... pity they were ripped off a week before they were to finish as a 17 yr old I thought but getting back to your original question pig shit worked well and in a dry hot area ive been amazed as to what worm castings can make your smoke taste like for most strains

Keep it simple....test the soil or have it tested... If it grows weeds and brush, it probably does not need much, maybe Miraclegro added and a couple handfuls of 16/16/16... What's the soil appearance ?? If it's dark and granular, it's probably ok with a minimum of additives...if it's light or rocky use more to turn it dark...good luck
