Outdoor Solo Cup Grow

Hello fellow RUI-ers, I thought I'd show my outdoor solo cup grow since I've already showed my other grows I got going on.
August 1st I germinated 73 bag seeds I've collected over the years. Then on the 3rd I planted 63 that sprouted in 18oz solo cups with Fox Farm Happy Frog soil and kept them under CFL 24/7. On the 15th I put them outside. As of today I have 27 out 63 that came out female. I'm feeding them with Floranova bloom and calimagic. 20180811_112818.jpg 20180811_112825.jpg 20180820_091436.jpg 20180820_091444.jpg 20180820_091449.jpg 20180820_091453.jpg

Very, um, interesting? No hate here, just the first grow I've seen like this.

Have you considered putting them in flood trays so they can wick from the bottom? You must have to water/feed very often...

One pro of having so many small plants is you can easily run A/B tests without much cost, and results should be seen quickly.

I've read about solo cup challenges on 420 magazine and thought I might as well try it just for fun. I have plenty of seeds to spare still and 2 other real grows going on. I hand feed them every 2 days. I got rid of all the males as they showed 1st signs of sex. I didn't want any contamination with my other grows. I was thinking about getting 3 of my 15g fabric pots and putting 9 in each one, but they might not respond well if I transplant them at this stage of flowering. I might try doing one maybe, I am curious

When I do solo cups I use two cups the bottom has no holes and works like tray , it increases yield

Edit: I see you have a couple doubled up

Some got really leggy at 1st so I cut a cup in half slide it over the seedling and added more soil, that way it gets stronger because roots grow out of the stalk that got barried. It worked. I do like the idea of adding another cup with no holes, probably give me another day of not needing to be watered

I know you wanted to do solo cups and the project looks like a success. Maybe 1 gallon smart pots could increase your success without much more footprint..
