Outdoor Strain Choice

What is a strain that is better for outdoors, and grows like a low rider. So it gets about 2 feet or 3 feet maximum? Seeing as this isn't an indoor grow, i can't cut the growing cycle to the flowering cycle and make it 12/12. Say I got a strain, and planted it LATER in the season or whatever, may that have a difference? I live in california, and right now the weather is pretty shitty where I live. (In the Valley) So any advice would help. Thanks.

I'm planting Early Misty outdoors this spring (from Nirvana). You should look into it, since it's very resistant to the kind of crap you have to deal with outdoors (mold, cold temperature, diseases). It stays short as well (more indica than sativa). I Have no idea where you live, but I've been told that in the northern US, flowering will naturally begin in mid to late July. It varies a lot on location, I'd imagine.

A pure indica not only is short, but the fat leaves don't even look like pot. You can always prune & make any strain whatever height you want - or tye it down.

Pure Indica is 3-4 feet tall, I once had a field found & ripped out - I say this because that is what it looked like....they stabbed my collapsable jugs, cut the hoses they found in one foot (roughly) pieces, and I found them all in the first stand out of 7. Most plants were 4-6 feet high at the time. There was an indica - very indica with fat, fat leaves that was still there. I figured it was the farmer that owned the land from the violent way this guy destroyed everything........but he left that one plant because he thought it was just another weed.
I came back that fall & harvested that one indica. Maybe you guys think a pure indica looks like pot because you grow & know
- or maybe you have never seen a pure indica.......

I did check out the autoflowering seeds. How do they do that? Is it a Ruderalis cross?
How is the potency? Yield? What kind of comparison is there?

Is growing it a Rocky Road?

It is a Ruderalis cross, yes. They use a lot of techniques (and lots of trial and error) to keep that auto trait while increasing potency and flavor, etc. The potency is not necessarily what you could get from good non-auto genetics, but it is still GREAT stuff. Look up some pics - people still achieve unbelievably crystal-ly buds. You will certainly not be unhappy with it. The yield is probably the most disappointing aspect, which kinda makes sense. A plant that only has 3 months to grow just can't possibly get THAT big. I have seen 4 oz LR2's, but I've also seen 1/8 oz LR2's. Both are rare. Expect an oz per plant if growing in good conditions.

Growing it should be pretty easy.

If you want sativa, GH seeds has arjans haze #3 that stays about 3 feet matured. says its 20% thc, but there havent really been any smoke reports on it and no outdoor grows that i could find.
