Outdoor: too much wind and some leaf problems

Hello,

this is my first grow, it is going well, somethings could be done better but it is going!

The strain is Magic bud and i have 3 plants on 7 gallons pots planted outdoor. The soil is some gardeners soil which i fertilized with all-aroud 13-13-13 NPK. I will post updated photos later tonight.

The problems i am having:

- I'm planting in a very windy zone, and sometimes i find my plants thrown away by the wind. Anything i can do to avoid this? to stabilize the plant? The main stem is not straight, is that normal or should i worry? they have strong stems btw, more than 1.5 inches diameter.

I'm afraid the plants get stressed with this... they already started the flowering stage (they will be ready in middle of october in my area), and i think it is going well (i will post photos later)

The big one has 5ft , the bushy one 4.5ft and the other one around 3,5ft.

I will post pictures later when i have acess to the machine, i'm posting this in advance because i was pretty shocked today when i woke up and saw 2 my plants and my little one dropped by some fucking wind.

The leaf problems are nutrient deficiences in some leafs that i will post later so you guys can help me, but they're not the main concern actually!

If your concerned about wind and your plants falling over, you could tie them up with some dow rods. Shave the end of the dow rod with a razor blade to make it like a spear. That way it will be easier to stick in the ground. Then tie them with like a shoe lace or some rope. Just dont use sting as it will go through the stem. Keep in mind the bigger they get the more wind will toss them around.

The main stem can be bent, doesnt really make much of a difference. For example, in LST the main stem is bent in all kinds of crazy ways. Im guessing that maybe something, if outdoors could be anything (wind?), hit it when it was younger and the plant just reacted by growing like that.

Seems like your real concerned about plant stress. Plant stress is just a mean word for how the plant makes an attempt to adapt to its surroundings. Its survival of the fittest, and at times stress is necessary to get the plant to react properly to a changing environment.

Sounds like you got yourself some killer plants though, congrats!! Hope this helped.

By the sounds of the plants and how big they are some wind wont mess anything up at all but like Rudy said i used that technique beefore with wimpy stemed plants worked like a charm,

I also used clear tarp that you can get at a local wal mart or garden centre, i steaked up four 2X4's in a square big enough for the plant and tarp the sides like a little green house. I used this when my plants were not strong enough for out-door climate where i live, left them in it until they were strong enough to be on their own and easy enough to get rid of once plants are strong enough

I think you'll be alright. I have 2 females outside in a very windy area (One is 8.2 ft and the other is 3.5) and they get shaken around a lot because of the wind and have been tipped over before but they're perfectly fine (other than a bug problem, which i took care of). The point is, your plants will usually adapt to their environment like the guy above me said.

Here are the promised photos:

the tallest one is almost 6 ft tall, the bushier one to the right is 5 ft. They had some yellowing leaves but now it seems to be fixed, since i flushed them. I think i added too much nutes last time, first timer is the shit they are really green and shining since the weather has been nice.

the other one is 3 ft tall, i had problems with her, she had lots of leaves dying, plagues etc. now she seems to be full recovered and the flowering is going well would be great to see her flowering with sucess after all the hassle i had to treat her!

So, what do you guys think? i planted them at the end of May.

lovely looking plants mate, I wouldn't worry about the leaf yellowing at all, (I could hardly see any) they look really big and healthy!

yeah, now i barely have yellow leafs, but i had a lot of leafs going dead in a 3-4 days time period so i thought something rly wrong was happening since they were dropped almost entired days because of the wind and not getting decent sun!

I just came up with an idea to fix the plants. I used a rope to tie to a static point, then the rope crosses the bottom of the main stem, then the other plant main steam and then to a static point. The rope does a square basically with 2 points being the plants and the other two the static points (that green thing u guys can see on the photos).

It just worked great, since it was very windy today here and the plants stood still!

I think i will open a outdoor thread with a grow journal have lots of photos so i think it would be cool. I'll do that when i have acess to the photos, probably next week!

Here i am, and now i really need lots of help

You seen my plants 1 week ago, they looked healthy and they really were.

I was away from the plants for personal reasons, i could just get people to give them some water and when i came back to see them, totally shock...
I need you guys to tell me what to do, really, since the plants lost almost half of the leaves, one of the plants got no top since the leaves are dead.
The wind is strong but not a problem anymore since they don'tt drop down.
I have no idea why this happen, problem a lots of nutrients missing.. I gave them a normal watering and added 13-13-13 NPK (what i had at home). I will now buy better nuts and wait to see what u guys tell me! I will also buy a PH meter to see how the fuck it is going there!

Any more information u might need to help me, just ask, i will be here waiting for answers

they look a little bit more healthy but still lots of dead leaves and dry leaves. i removed almost every dead one and left the ones less damaged. should i cut them also?

i added some 17-17-17 NPK (that's what i have here) 4 days ago, should i feed them again? good weather with good sun here so i hope they can get better

same problem here...i don t know what s the problem..if you find a solution, post it to me please....i m triyng whit magnesium...

....use some hygrozyme to freshen up any dead roots.......... I had some problems with minor leaf dying but nothing like that........when u see a lot of dying it is prolly related to the root system.........
