How long can I leave auto flowers in root riot/ jiffy plugs for before transplanting?
I am putting a selection of auto flowers outdoors, I have poped the beans in root riots, but I want the plants to get bigger before putting outside, I don’t want to transplant into pots then re transplant to go outside, or am I best just getting them outdoors small and covering them?

I generally plant my jiffy plugs as soon as the plant starts to grow out of it. Only takes about a day for the roots to grow out of the bottom.

How about planting them in CLEAR drain hole cut solo cups planted in your outdoor medium. This way just pop the sucker out of the cup once you SEE the root structure is big enough.

Yeah if they weren’t auto flowers I’d just put them in solos until outside but I’m worried they are gonna think that’s the final pot and just end up tiny. Don’t think I’ll be able to keep them in root riots much longer as roots out bottom already.

Personally I think you shouldn't wait too long - as a member above as soon as you see any grow out.
I am personally thinking in planning them outdoor in direct soil and making a bottle greenhouse I have a thread in my profile u can find useful!
Good luck!

If starting rooter plugs , as soon as it breaks free and begins to germ , you can plant them.

You can boost them , by dusting moist rooter with myco ( great white / recharge ) before you put in final container.
