Outdoors in SE Virginia

This is one of the plants I’ve trained to grow horizontally. It decided not to grow any branches from the laid over main stalk, and is growing new colas directly from the stalk. There are 10 of them; I practice leaf tucking a couple times a day to keep them totally exposed and they are filling out nicely.

I missed the full moon the last couple nights but I'm going to setup some chairs and a table around the plants to make it more comfortable to hang out with them. That way I can see them lit up under the moonlight. I got my first pistils on all my girls, all 3 are flowering. I can stop stressing about light pollution from my house. It might still cause it to hermaphrodite but I'm trying to get panda film up on the worst windows.

My patio is lit up with several solar lights, so cant grow photos out on the patio. I do have a secluded place in my yard that is pitch black at night, but it gets no sun, so I’d wind up schlepping it around for the sun...too much bother. I’m fine with growing autos, and am on the hunt for seed for the next grow...

Until I fall over the deck railing and ten feet down because I pulled the batteries.lol Yeah our deck has those solar post lights every 6 feet which was a deal breaker until I figured out a hammer, screwdriver and some determination got me into them. Voila, no more batteries for solar lights and new batteries for my scale and head lamp. Best part is they're rechargeable. Recycling at it's finest.

Big storm rolling in - the plants are riding it out under my tarp covered patio table...another reason to keep them horizontal...

careful on the deck, 10 feet ain’t nothing to sneeze at.

I decided to roll the dice and let mine ride out the weather today knowing we had some storms coming through. They have to toughen up at some point I figured. Really sunny most of the day and I got hit with a nasty storm, heavy rain and some pretty heavy wind gusts. It lasted for about 45 minutes and all three girls seem fine but the timing sucked, right before dark so I couldn't really do an inspection. I put a fan on them to try and keep the humidity down a little tonight and help dry them off before the sun comes up.

Hope your crop survived, mine made it thru no problem...this might be the last time the spend under the table, they do need to toughen up in the elements. Most of the stems and main trunk are stiff enough now to withstand rain, and they are all so low profile high winds never bother them. They are starting to smell, and the white calyx hairs are all over the place.

these should be pretty easy to trim since almost all the buds are growing as single items, not buried inside a bunch of foliage.

Yours are coming along terrific. Starting to see some trichomes building, nice. I was happy to see all three of my girls soggy but fine this morning confirming what I suspected, I was being too coddling. They are tougher than I give them credit for. Should be a great day for growing today and tomorrow, nothing but sun. When did your plants start flowering? The jack herer is supposed to be a quick flower strain I think isn't it?

Snapped a pic post storm, girls way hardier than I thought.

The no trespassing signs that I cut up are the legal tags required by law in my state. Instead of using paper and trying to laminate it (nightmare) I found this sign at Walmart. It was plastic and blank on the back. I cut them up and used permanent marker and so far they are indestructible. I just thought I'd post this since it was so cheap and seems to be really working well. I hole punched a hole in the corner with a paper punch for the wire.

They’ve been flowering for the last week and are both supposed to finish around 8 weeks of flowering, but add two weeks to that to account for breeder optimism/sales pitch...so, should be done in around 8 or 9 weeks. Yours look awesome, the bamboo sticks will be nice tie down/support for the lateral branches.

I like them but they rot after awhile and can transfer pests. I cut them down and use them in smaller pots getting rid of anything that had been subsoil. Since they've so slick I cut grooves in the sides with a Dremel so the twist ties can grab ahold of something and not slip. My wife's Asian and I gotta admit I'm a little bamboo'd out from her decorating my house with lucky bamboo. Lol

So I see somebody found the bottom of the bowl last night.
I’m still working my way to the bottom of one...only been in cure for 5 days and the dankiness is back and getting stronger. Took ur advice and I’m slowly paring the colas down to smaller nuggets. An hour of that, and all I can smell is weed for the rest of the day. I might take an oz and make some bubble hash...

birds eye views of the 4 outdoor plants also attached. They exploded overnight, with another full day of sun predicted for today...I’ll do some defoliation to clear bud sites, but have gotten most of the fan leaves tucked under the canopy. they get fox farms week #7 tomorrow...

They're looking great. Have you done any research on the IR light from your security cameras messing with flower cycle of photo plants? I know you are running autos now because the solar lights but I was just wondering on the IR light frequency on how strong it had to be.

Never looked into the possibility for IR to mess up a photo period grow. I really wish I could grow a photo or 2 but can’t...will just have to make do with autos. Darn the luck...

Nute burn guy's....I fertilized last Sunday...some of the bigger fan leaves not as green as they was also...Ben really hot this week 90's plus20210729_185448.jpg20210728_175824.jpg
