Still wanna see those pics. @Happygirl !! We need pics, or it never happened !! lol :o Have you been over to see the "Girls Gone Ganja" thread ? It's a good thread and a great idea imo, by the girl who got it started, @MD914. I love the fact that more and more women are tuning into the grow scene and the culture as a whole. Something we almost never saw 4 decades ago. I know of at least a few ladies, right here on riu, that can put many of the boys to shame.
Huge respect going out to all of these ladies, now lets see those pics. Don't be shy ladies !! lol :eyesmoke:

I left my home town for the countryside out in the Adirondack foothills about 20 years ago. I was single, working hard, playing hard, and saving up my money. I payed less for my home and my land, than many pay for a new SUV. The kicker was this beautiful south facing slope out in back, with no shade whatsoever, and near the top of that slope was this perfect spot for my garden. I can still remember the realtor asking if I was interested in the house. Oh yes, I said, the view is just gorgeous !! lol :weed:
Your a very fortunate man, many of us have to hike guerilla style for such a view/location. I live in Northern Ontario, and have to venture a few miles/Kilometres for a good safe spot.

I'm still here. Been away for a bit, but it's all good, they haven't locked me up yet. Loving the pictures that have been posted since my last visit. Definitely a special time of year for us "Outdoor types" in the northeast. Nice job everyone !!
Here's some shots I took this morning. "AMS" plant to the right will be ready within 2 weeks and the calyxes just started to recede a few days ago. "Jack Herer" and "Church", to the left, still have about 4 weeks to go. Stockade fence and step ladder are both 6' tall. Hope you all Enjoy !!

Thanks. They're in 45 gal. Smart Pots. I screwed up and said they were 65's somewhere on here, but have since found the 65's down in the shed. Which goes to show ya, never smoke to much of last years bud, when you're preparing for this years grow !! lol I should pull 5 + total dry weight, maybe a bit more. I'll post the weights on here, after I get em tallied it up.

Bigger pots and more spacing between plants for next year. Also a couple new strains I'm putting to the test for outdoors.
Should be "L O A D S" of fun !! lol :weed:

Why do you guys choose to grow in pots instead of the ground?

This year I just dug out big holes and filled the holes with my amendments and soil and have been basically watering ever since...

So why use the massive pots?

Maybe next season I'll test out a couple 45g

I did 5 in 45s and 4 in the ground and my 45s are doing better
Since I only dug deep enough holes to fit 3 1.5 cu ft bags of soil
And I had one get nabbed by a gopher, killed another gopher before he got another.

Don't get me wrong if u dig huge holes it's good and will not need water as much
But for all that digging I'd wanna be using those same holes for years.
I'm at a rental so pots are fine not much work just fill em' up.

In my case, the ground is just loaded with shale. Much more shale than soil. I could dig the holes out and do the amendments, but it would be a lot more work.

Thanks XP. You've got some good looking plants there yourself. I'd keep an eye on the FCJ and see how she reacts to the plain water. Looks like it could be a cal/mag issue to me. Remember, some yellowing/color change at this time of year is completely normal, just as it is with the native vegetation around your grow. Nice job man, those other plants look green and healthy.
Thanks Foothills. I fed all my plants today so hopefully the FCJ starts to look better soon. They are doing as good as I hoped, but not as good as I expected. lol They are couple miles back in the woods, and I have to hand feed them. lol
I'm really hoping to get enough to last this time next year! I have a couple smaller plants too.

I use fabric pots because 3/4 of my grows are in swampy areas where any hole you dig would fill with water in minutes.

They're just easier all around IMO
