outgassing/offgassing from cables and adhesive band ?

i read some grow tents that made from PVC may cause offgassing issue that kills plant.cables and isolation bands are made from PVC ,too. there are plenty cables and adhesive band for electrical isolation in my grow tent.
may they cause outgassing because they are made from PVC, or am i too paranoiac

guys i know it is a bit strange question but i need to know the answer. if PVC bands and cables harmful,i will remove bands and decrease the amount of cables .

I remember commenting on one of those threads, even I have PVC materials next to my plants & so far so good. Just grow your plants like you normally would & then on the next grow line the tent with mylar & compare the plants that should tell you if the materials have any effect.

I have talked to a couple of people that would recommend the Grow Lab, made by Home Box. It is the newest, and seems to have fixed all the flaws in the "older" versions.

I have read that the PVC plastic ones from HTG had problems, but i cant confirm that.

I just ordered a grow tent from gyosupplies on ebay.com. Product Code: GYO1002. The tent is cheaply made. The instructions were not clear, there are 8 sections of ploe labeled "B" and they are two different sizes, four of them are 6" longer than the other four. The seller claims the tent is non-toxic PVC. Is there such a thing as non-toxic PVC? My plants were looking good with no problems until I put them in the tent. When I put them in the tent I also upped the light from 250w to 400w and put an air-conditioner inside the tent to cool the area. It is now the third day they have been in the tent. Many leaves are curling upward and some are starting to turn brown. Could this be because of the tent?

Could you post pics of the plants & the tent?

I know this is an old thread... I have been growing for years with multiple shows on the go at all times, and thought i would set up an additional show in a buddies. Due to limited space, i optd to go with a tent grow as opposed to building a room (i have grown in tents in the past)... I had never incountered a problem like the one i just spent 5 weeks, and hundreds of dollars trying to figure out....

But a PVC tent got the better of my bubba kush grow. I had bought a tent with the name "Floracorp" off Craigslist..

first i mistook this as nute burn... I flushed, and no change. I then thought it had to be a PH issue, and thought my PH meter needed re-calibration, that didn't work. So then I went to the grow shop with some pics of the babies, and my guy there noticed in the pic my tent was white, and asked if it was PVC... "yes" was my response.. After he finished laughing at me for A. Buying a used tent, and B. growing in a tent to begin with as he knows I build rooms usually... He suggested I buy a new MYLAR tent. I ended up buying a jardin darkroom 300 / 8x8x7 and took it to the grow site, set it up and POW! 3days later, I saw a difference and thy were coming back to life. I decided to not continue the grow and went and cut 50 new clones off some mothers and started again.

I wish I found this thread earlier, and only just stumbled across it just now while puffing a doob and killing time online.

Stay away from PVC. It'll burn your plants!

Home box and grow lab even hydro hut are top notch tent and are gass safe
