As of this morning 205,000 marijuana plants have been seized on the California/Oregon border:

Record marijuana grow pulled up by the roots in Siskiyou County | marijuana, siskiyou, county - Top Stories -

This is a shame. The growers got away thank God.

Growers now days do not even try to hide the plants. With the Copters picking up the MJ growing from heat. it does no good to hide them. So it seems to me the big time growers are just growing right out in the open. Is this just me seeing this? Or have you noticed this also?

I'm sure this will be a very unpopular opinion, but I have to disagree with this. Growing in your own yard or inside your house is perfectly acceptable to me and should be legal. However, growing on public land in the forest is dangerous to the general public (pot smokers/growers and non). The people growing this stuff are generally criminals and should be stopped. For many reasons these types of growing operations are bad for the ordinary growers, like most (if not all) of us.

This time of year, the feds are cracking down on these grows and they should. I don't think they care about the casual grower at all (or much anyway).

OK - I've said my peace. Feel free to commence the stoning (cheap pun intended).

i would want them to stop people even if they were growing tomatos or anything else. growing in our national forrests... for shame.

I totally agree. I'm glad it was caught. I have a very big problem with Mexican drug cartels, and I have a big problem with interfering with our national parks. Illegal aliens growing weed on our protected wilderness and then selling it to us really, really pisses me off. I agree with siin82, that kind of crap is bad for us growers, bad for smokers everywhere, and bad for our economy in general, and should be stopped.

Finally they are doing something right. Leave the small time people, med clinics and med growers the fuck alone and go after the drug cartels.

Someone got something right in the DEA. I really never thought it would happen.

Well less we forget, in the minds of "them"...."we" are "criminals" just like those men. Even though those men behind this operation are most likely from organized crime backgrounds...we are still all prosecuted the same unfortunely, sadly, ignorantly....we know the list goes forever eh?

Its very annoying, and to the greatest degree of ignoranance, to see that "concerned citizen" in the video, is only worried about the cops getting hurt trying to find these "bad guys". It's only dangerous because of prohibition!!!! Lets not waste tax payers money sending good people after other good people( there only "bad" people because of a prohibition, generally speaking)

However, Americans are ignorant, and still stuck on the old hand of justice.....mostly due to an older population of "politicians" (politicians= true and mad dangerous criminals:fire:). I hope, and to one day see, before my time is done on earth, a day when we are never again ignorant to the TRUTHS of CANNABIS.....pay tribute to a day where we HONOR CANNABIS in our human day for its co-evolution.....nor a single man, be it white/black/mexican/green/orange/or red EVER BE FUCKING PROSECUTED FOR THE POSSESSION/CULTIVATION OF THE MOST BELOVED, IMPORTANT,RESOURCEFUL TREE IN OUR HUMAN HISTORY. WEVE MADE IT DANGEROUS, SO WE CAN UNMAKE IT DANGEROUS. REGULATATION and DECRIMINALIZATION, not PROSECUTION will make it a safe, controlled, regulated, traded, tested, researched, the easiest and fastest renewing resource on PLANET EARTH...........and we can do all of this, while saving our planet, our money, our loved ones from harms way

P.S.-My message is not intended at any one such person(s), except that ignorant lady in the news video........

P.S.S- While the DEA has charged American taxpayers OVER 310 BILLION Dollars in the last 10 years on a "War on Drugs".....If I were an American Id be a pissed SOBin' motherfucker to see my government waste so much money, kill some many ppl, lose so horribly ( black market and organized crimes have never been more rich, thriving, intelligent, growing....etc) on its single and most important task at hand. At 310 Billion Dollars over ten years you would think they would have saved every human from everything dangerous in this world......but let one truism stand true and free....again, PROHIBITION never works, nor will it:wall:

Lastly, you may also think, at 310 Billion dollars.....you would at least think they be "cracking down" on every body....however its kinda crazy how they "double charge" americans for a drug war ....theres places in america where you can personal posses up to 25 grams of cannabis before its a major criminal infraction that may or can warrant ..........UP TO A CRAZY BIG $$$$$$ FINE! More so, there are place , states, counties, in America where if you were caught growing up to 25 full grow ( 4,000$ street value tree, according to the DEA) trees you can face up to 5 years in prison.......wow what a way to support a "drug war".......a.k.a.....Propaganda....smoke screen...tit in mouth milk americans for as long as possible until the become intelligent enough to Regulate and Decriminalize Cannabis........Americans are getting fooled, and tricked by there own government everyday....Most dont even know it still.......wait I think I found a "bad guy" ::o:arrow: American Poloticans/Government
Thanks for reading my thoughts and opinions, and facts in some parts. Join the movement people and lets become intelligent about cannabis, its politics, its regulation and decriminalization are'nt just in the hands of Politicans.......We all have a voice, a brain, and a heart.....together......for this will take alot of BELIEVING ....in order to be ACHIEVING:clap::clap::clap:

P.S.S.S-- Oh before I forget, growing cannabis in national parks does not destroy national parks......kinda like guns.....humans destroy national parks, more so, humans battling prohibition "may " destroy parks( say may cause not sure if any scientific evidence would conclude our parks are destroyed or are being destroyed due to humans growing in the hills. Besides were not deforesting to grow cannabis anyway. Cannabis growth, as many may know, actually is the quickest growing, most renewable resource that can be used for over 500+ more things than what paper trees can make :).....and is very very healthy for humans, and mother nature alike!

Oh I have been raising them every year now for the last ten years....I kinda thanks the Americans in a weird fucked up way :) They sure do make the price of Cannabis in Canada Very Very Very:weed: Profitable.

I think they should seperate the issues of Immagration and Cannabis Cultivation. Personally I can give a shit less whos in the hills causing what rucuss and growing cannabis for whoever. Thats not the point of whos in the hills, but WHY. If there is'nt a prohibition, there are'nt any mad crazy racist people all made a mexican people over growing pot in there hills just to sell it to billy bob down the street in Orgeon somewhere.....If the American Government was to Regulate it.....you could go to Walgreens and get it, instead of Billy Bob's Bud Bodega

F'n A to your first post, Potologist. Weed being illegal is simply one of the most nonsensical things I've ever heard. The problem of course is, it's so deeply embedded in wider society as "evil" that nobody wants to be the one to say, "So... Exactly what is wrong with it?"
People are so used to pot and smokers being demonized that nobody even stops to justify why smoking it is so bad. And if you actually dare to make (or not make) all necessary disclaimers and ask them simply what is so terribly wrong with marijuana, nobody can answer for shit. Then given all the brilliant uses for the plant (aside even from smoking/eating, which is harmless and mentally stimulating), Cannabis being outlawed sounds like something from one of those lists of stupid laws right below some shit like "Did you know: In the state of Kentucky, it's illegal to fire donkeys out of cannons while wearing an omelette " or whatever the hell. Nothing bad has come of weed. Might as well ban fucking coffee.

That said though, it's hard to know what responsible, respectful growers like us can do to undo the demonization weed has suffered over the last fifty-odd years. For me, simply because it's so illegal, I don't want to speak up for it for fear of being drilled for it, especially since I plan for a (weedless) military career. And then freaking drug cartels pulling shit like this doesn't help. People associate weed with crime, which is a shame given the number of responsible, honest citizens who simply enjoy and/or grow a freaking plant...

I agree with most of what you say and I think we're on the same side of this issue - ignorance is the source of the problem (and pushing one's morality on someone else). Just one disagreement I'd like to point out - I have a medical marijuana card. So, me growing in/at my home is not illegal. I guess federally it is, but no ones going to care about my few plants growing for self consumption.

I've actually seen a documentary that showed this guy going around and asking people why marijuana was "bad"....and its was funny cause the guy interview an astrinomical amount of people and the majority of the ppls answer were " uh well uh....i dont know why exactly its bad".......

Its kinda crazy to know that Americans were the culprits of "Refer Madness".........that sadly did'nt work out to be that big of a success now did it

Just to comment on a couple things 2: I am sure there are plenty of people in American government, or American Law Enforcement that care about you growing, whatever you think u can consume, amounts of cannabis. Hell if your nearest neighbor found out you were growing cannabis....I bet you he would be a little funky as to what you were doing........however its all based on FEAR, regardless of a card or not, its all Fear of the Unkown ( Americans question what else is behind the pot, who? organizations?, was he selling it?.... to little girls?.....to Uncle Ricky our recovering lush....the list goes on and on what americans think, question, and fear about cannabis.....thus making prohibition an even hard task. So does making a card given to you by some doctor not make you a criminal?.....idk if the fuzz where to come blazin on your door tomorrow........think the judge is gonna think of you as a criminal, or maybe the C.O. who babysits you in Prison..........

I say all this in a no pun intended manor, as well as respectfullly, HOWEVER, It takes an Act of Congress to make something Legal or Illegal as defined by your Government on behalf of its people. As you know it is not yet Legal in your Country........so hey, even YOU should be concerned about that....HELL EVERYONE needs to be concerned ....however while it may take an Act of Congress to make something Legal or Not....It doesnt take an act of God , to get Every Human being truthfully aware of cannabis and Make that Act of Congress Happen...........AMEN

Ha, that's excellent. Do you remember what it was called? I'd be interested in seeing that for sure.

That's definitely one of my biggest beefs with the anti-cannabis issue. In this day and age, us not having figured out that POT IS OKAY is skull-bashingly stupid.
If people at least more or less knew the drill and decided it wasn't for them, or that they disapprove of its use by others, that's one thing. Within reason, I respect that wholly. But people who know dick about weed slamming weed.. rrrgh.. :-( And those are always the fuck heads who bust out a cigarette or pull at a beer as they denounce "those darned no-account pot heads"... Sometimes I just wonder.

there is big money 2 b made by fighting the drug war the same way companies make a fortune in putting people in jail for it , who do u think runs and builds all these prisons . big companies profit from the prohibition and in return fund politicians reelection campaigns that fight the war against mj, a vicious sickening circle

And most of those beer pullin cigarette smoking pot bashing people are older people, that are still in general control.......once those geezards crawl out change is not far away. Very good point 2.....I wish I could take every human being back to when they were all kids any tell them that Cannabis is awesome, its safe, its okay, its fun, its spiritual, its medicinal, its this its that etc....just so people would have this refer madness fear to them when it come to cannabis. I bet you if most American knew that you can get more miles out of any car in the world off of CannaOil....or cannabis Oil(s) than you could ever get out of the highest octane fuel...............every American n there sisters would run and vote to legalize/regulate........oh wait thats right Americans are the only Democracy in the world that doesnt practice a true "Open Government" where you can run and vote on things that matter, instead of voting on whether Lisa Mae down the road gets elected to city cocksucker or not : ) (Another Propaganda, smoke screen, make you believe one thing kinda tactic of the American governments. Ever wonder why you can vote for Lisa Mae the City Cock Suck but not on whether cannabis should be legal or not.........sounds to me like the American government right now enjoys charging foolish americans for something they know nothing about but tell them its Bad and Dangerous and that u shouldnt do it.....so where gonna go get the bad guys who would let u do it? idk lol......its crazy :)

Pharmacuticals are the biggest profiting companies in the WORLD....even more than Oil Tycoons. So Pill makers and Tobacco makers, and Private prisons, and who knows who else spend billions lobbying these criminals in D.C. Idk but I dont see how Democracy and Freedom go along with Lobbying......makes no sense ...should be as illegal as rape in my honest opinion. Americans elect a certian slim ball to do certian things behind close doors, pay him, and hope he does what they want......but has an option to take money( donations ) from certian parties or companies and do whatever they wish....Its not a crime to accept cash donations from anyone, whats a crime is what they are asking of these criminals receiving this money........but yet a good faith, bible and all, they are only taking the money and not talking...........picture that....a truthful politician.
