Over or under watering?

Hey everybody! I have a few sprouts that I started not too long ago. I've been monitoring them, and they have been showing sings of over watering. I'm not too sure, because I've been very careful with how much water I give them. If the cup felt light, I'd give water accordingly. And if it was heavy, I wouldn't give at all. But I'm aware that everybody makes mistakes, so I just wanna make sure. So I humbly ask for some insight or advice, please.

Roots only grow where the soil is wet. You making it hard for roots to grow. I never liked the misting method. I would rather ensure good drainage. Plant the seed in most soil. Let it dry out and grow and the next time I have to water water until run off. Keep the soil moist but don't soak it every few hrs. As it dries the roots get oxygen. When you water the roots get oxygen. The trick is to not water when it's to wet. Doing that u really aren't exchanging oxygen depleted water because you get runoff so quick so the plant just sits in stagnet water and it causes issues.

What is your medium? That changes watering technique drastically

Also it can be hard to wet totally dried out medium... water it good or let it leach up thru the drain holes and try 2 wet all your dry pockets

They look underwatered/ not watered properly. Put a bunch of holes in the bottom if there isnt already. That soil look nice and loose with good drainage. I would water them with a full dose of water , soak the whole cup, it wont hurt them, the cup needs to be moist all around so the roots can fill it.
