Thanks for the reply, i had given it a good old shake after pouring it initially, but it was still the same. I guess im hoping for someone to say it's all fine to use even with the bits floating in it. Maybe best to just dump it though.Always shake your Chem ferts well before use. Hell, shake them weekly to keep the salts from congregating. It should be fine to use after shaking. Good luck!
It will be totally fine to use. Personally I would use H&G Shooting Powder or Top Shooter (liquid version of shooting powder) if you want to boost weight. Personally I've used the entire line of AN a few times on a few different genetics and it just doesn't produce... I didn't notice any benefit using Overdrive other than it does create little floaties..I have some overdrive thats been sitting on a shelf in my cupboard for a couple of years now and im tempted to throw some in with my jack herer plant, but after pouring some out in a glass, im seeing little bits floating about in it. Do you think it will still be okay to use?
First time ive heard of h&g, looks like cheaper alternative aswell. Ive heard mostly good things about overdrive though. Must be decent enough if so many people use it. I dont believe in spending a fortune on twenty different bottles for just one plant. Im just looking to use a couple of ingredients whenever the plant looks like it needs something. I normally use gh micro, bloom. Dutchmaster grow zone and cal/mag. I just purchased some canna pk 13/14 but think im a bit late to start using it properly. I might just go ahead and use the overdrive anyway. It cant hurt im sure. What ingredients are you using yourself and have you got any advice on anything i might be missing out?It will be totally fine to use. H&G is cheaper but better quality. Their base nutrients are derived from liquid components not dry salt components like most bottled fertilizers. This will help a lot with not seeing salt buildup or issues like that..First time ive heard of h&g, looks like cheaper alternative aswell. Ive heard mostly good things about overdrive though. Ive being doing a lot of reading on forums and watching videos and came across mills a+b nutrients. Ive heard they are pretty good for base, dont know if you've heard of it? ive been using gh micro and bloom with the lucas formula just for ease of use and buying other bits and pieces as i go. I have also been learning how to top and mainline and on the grow im on right now i think i hit my limit on the size of plant i can manage with the air pump and size of bucket. So ive upgraded my pump and built a bigger bucket for the next grow. Im only just learning about the need for extra p/k through flower and the tapering off of nitrogen and cal/mag after initial stretch in flower. I think i am well prepared for the next grow, but always looking to learn something new to help me on my way. I have a jack herer 7 weeks in flower thats been mainlined with 16 tops but looks kinda sorry for itself after not having enough dissolved oxygen for about 1 1/2 weeks. Seem to back on track now and i think im just gonna throw some of that overdrive at it tomorrow, see how that turns outH&G is cheaper but better quality. Personally H&G Cocos A&B base nutrients were feeding my plants without any supplementation on my first run. Results were good although buds ended up being a bit small likely due to not using the H&G Bloom Booster (Shooting Powder / Top Shooter (Liquid version of shooting powder) and also I didn't push the PPMs hard I kept the feeding pretty Standard.. I probably could hit 1200 PPM from what I'm seeing from other growers.
You should look into using 1 brand of products to prevent lockouts or bad reactions between the products. I learned this the hard way. Some stuff is okay but others you can end up with issues you might not even see right away.
PK 13/14 can be used weeks 4-7 of bloom to my understanding. You just want to make sure you get at least 7-14 days with plain water before you harvest depending on your timeframe & preference.
Don't get me wrong the GH Micro, Grow & Bloom are good products but definitely not the best for your money & time.
My feedings are:
House & Garden Cocos A&B Base Nutrients (200-300 ml/gal (800-1200 ppm depending on phase of growth)
H&G Amino Treatment @ 1ml/gal
H&G Roots Excelurator Gold @ 1ml/gal
H&G Drip Clean @ 0.4 ml/gal
This next time around I plan on running the H&G Shooting Powder in my reservoir, I mix my nutrients in a 20 gallon Brute trash bin with wheels on it. By the way you might ask why 1 ml/gal its because H&G has extremely good quality concentration in their products. It's rare to ever see a deficiency occur and btw I use RO water with no calmag and never have seen an issue running Cocos A&B Base @ 500-800 PPMs.
I grow in 10 gallon pots of Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite.

This is absolutely true.. I've experimented with aggressive feeding and it only results in fallbacks and reduced yield. I've learned like you said you really gotta listen to the plants.. A surefire way to increase yields in the end would be using products like H&G Shooting Powder or Top Shooter (Liquid Version of Shooting Powder). This product works before your eyes.. Just gotta time it right when the buds have set and seem to be about mid way through fattening up. If you use it too late then the plants aren't usually drinking as much solution and probably will not be as effective.. You want to start hitting them with PK boosters like Shooting Powder right when they start getting their heavy appetite and stacking on colas. Thanks for all the info. ive learned the hard way that less is always more with these plants, and if you give less the plant will show you what it needs, you just have to be on top of it and know what to give and when. I will check out those aqua flakes and see what they are all about.
You tried aggressive feeding? Did you run CO2? Is your temps dialed? If no then aggressive feeding will not work. This is absolutely true.. If you grow in a room use co2. If you use a tent in a room that u cycle air out and bring cool air in. I believe there's a way to run CO2 still. What do you make of these co2 bags you can buy online?
What are you using for co2?If you grow in a room use co2. If you use a tent in a room that u cycle air out and bring cool air in. I believe there's a way to run CO2 still.
That sounds expensive and kinda dodgy to be keeping in the house. How many plants you got and is there a noticable difference?Co2 tank with a regulator connected to a controller.
Im just seeing, you can pick up small bottles pretty cheap. Nice looking grow, youve got there. Commercial grow in the states?77 plants in 7gal pots. Yes big difference. That's my LED side. They are in week 3 veg in he 7gal and prior to that 1 week in 1gal
