This is the transplant now done. So far they have survived the first day! hopefully they look just as good later. Thanks for all the help! Those links definitely help me avoid root shock (i hope) among a lot of other things... I transplanted just in time by the looks of it. the roots were starting to come out the bottom of the dirt just barely. The lightning is not 100% yet but I will get it down, I have extra bulbs ready to go incase it is not enough lighting. I didn't want to rush the whole thing.20161231_074053.jpg I think that little plant will die so disregard that one :) :joint: bongsmilie

it wont if you show it the same love as the others... Looking good, they will do just fine... speaking of light what you working with? id also recommend bring your soil up to the top of the pot. weed is like tomato plants... you want to plant them deep and they will put out roots where you bring the soil up to. I like to plant mine as far up the stalk as i can. but no biggie on that. they look happy. if you get time check out my grow in my sig.

i did on one of the plants it went down because I watered it a bit and didn't really compact the soil... I figured better to leave it a little loose as it can compact on its own... I was worried about air not being able to circulate (under the lowest leaves) but I will take your advise as it has been spot on. they are looking super happy now and leave are almost pointing straight up... I'm using a 200w CFL 6500k and I got a bunch of little 100w cfls the little ones that I can use for supplementary lighting... I was told to switch to 125w I think its like 2700k for flowing.. I could be wrong on the kelvin part. I will check out your grow also I'm always into getting more and new ideas for growing also.. I'm trying to figure out if I can use espoma garden tone on another thread... but how long to wait to add it? I was thinking 2 weeks at least. also do you top your plants? if so, how many rows of leaves do you keep before topping?

https://www.amazon.com/Jacks-Citrus-20-10-20-Micronutrients-Soluble/dp/B00B1V9YM2 this is what i use. I wait till after i top them or clone... about three weeks to a month in veg. But they will tell you if they are hungry... your leafs are looking good... you dont want them up and praying that means they are stressed just like you dont want them totaly droopy either... where they are is looking great and they are happy. I always find that having a complete spectrum is a good thing so a mix of your bulbs would be good. I always stayed heavier on the blue side though even in flower... but they need that mix.

yeah I have heard that... I think I need to water them again... I haven't watered since transplant and I think that might be partially why... which was 2 days ago... I'm sure the soil at first needs to be watered more? that one leaf that look like they are praying I think the main stem is actually bending towards the light as it is pretty low right now EDIT : also have a fan pointing from that side and breeze is strongest there probably making that one bend up

also I would have more fixtures if the electric bill is low enough still waiting on that one to come in :O I think the small cfls are soft white which if I'm not mistaken, is the opposite end of the spectrum from what I have going... which will be place along the outside of the current fixture

it could be the fan or transplant... i use fans to circulate the air not to blow on plants. it will cause stress and they will smell more.

ok cool... I heard supposed to make the leaves shimmer... and since the pots are lower to the ground maybe I should lower the fan too... less stress as you say... thanks a lot I couldn't have gotten it looking as good without you. have grown many things but this is definitely a whole new experience!

soil ph 7.0 .... watering with ph 5.5 water... runoff is 6.5 so far based on what ive seen also... I think that is coming out good... not too basic... also just watered and leaves are coming down a little bit hopefully that is good guessing it was getting stressed from not enough water and now that I watered it is calming down... I think I just "llearned" my plants but I wont stop watching it just incase ;)

not flowering yet, I just tried to respond to your post... I was going to start flower soon as the nodes get a little more developed... I thought that was the best thing to do... but I was wondering why you flowered early looking on yours atleast, when the plants are small.. I thought they only double or tripled at most after topped and go into flowering? am I screwed here?

also I wanted to do all my topping in vegetative state before going to flowering... is that smart? or wrong?

Yes top and train before flipping. You won't be able to tell sex until flower so you still have that surprise. I answered the flower with my small plant in my thread. but I'd expect the 2 to 3 x stretch

Ok awesome. Thanks so much. I am thinking 2 of them at least are males and other 2 are females based on what i researched on "pre-flowers' and so far as i can tell, they are more pointed and not seed looking on 2 of them, but no pistils obviously, then the other 1 is more seedish looking , and last is unknown. No signs on that one.. Is this correct as described? i will be flipping to 12/12 very soon. as they are almost half the size i can deal with assuming 2 are females. Thanks for help! **EDIT*** i hope this isn't too big for what i can handle, any idea how much i could expect per plant at this size? (12 inches tall -topped - unknown strain - before any training - lowest amount )

yeah i know... I'm hoping at least 1 or 2 is a female... 3 look different from the other 1 ... so i wouldn't be surprisde with my luck it had nothing to do with it and it was all males.... but ok thanks. I'm hoping just for a little bit to see if I'm heading in the right direction.
