The wife needed a camera for work, so we stopped at Office Max one day to see if they had any. They had some simple Sony's marked down to 25 bucks. We ended up buying one for her work, and two for us. But my garden eats those kinds of cameras, so I use an old underwater Fuji Films for my outdoor stuff.

Back in the day I owned several SLR's. Still do I guess. I cringe to think of all the money I have spent on film and getting it developed.
The sand in my garden ate 2-3 cameras. It gets between the movable lens. The underwater one has no moving parts to get sand in. I did manage to crack the lens cover a little, so I try to keep the subject to the left of the frame. lol
I take 40-50 shots some days. It's time for me to pick up a new one. Sometimes it sticks after taking a picture, and I have to take out the battery and put it back in. And now it's starting to swim once in a while. {waves in the viewfinder} I have to turn it off and on when that happens. I think I paid about 200 bucks 4 or 5 years ago. They are 170 now on Amazon.

This is the trail camera of choice for all the leading You Tube hikers. Makes crazy good videos and pictures, and is pretty light.

My first digital was a Sony Mavica. 1 mp to a floppy. I won't say what it costs. It was a great camera and was used by a lot of people. I still have it. For that price I'll have it buried with me. But someone had to do it.
