Oxyclone problems... :-/ Guidance Appreciated

I was hoping to get some guidance on some issues I am having. When I purchased my Oxyclone-20 I had a %100 success rate. I was impressed I had huge white roots in a week. I used tap water that I let bubble in the cloner for 24 hours, I added 10ml of Rapid Start and 5 ml of Superthrive.

However, my last attempt to take new cuttings failed miserably, 0% success rate. I'm not attributing this to the Oxyclone as I'm sure it's my own fault.

I added less RS, and ST on the last run thinking that I used way too much the first time, but I don't think that this was the main issue. I now have learned that I have the "dreaded" sludge built up in my cloner, which sounds like a real headache, and being that this is only my third time using the cloner very disheartening seeing as how many people recommend getting rid of the cloner once the sludge has hit. :-/

I also just took my water temp and my water is running too high, 86 degrees. But I'm not sure what the best way to lower these temps would be, I know there are heating pads, but I don't believe a cooling pad exists... lol Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have cuttings in the Oxycloner so i added 80 ml of 3% h202 hoping it will help this run out until I can fully clean the system with a bleach solution.

Any guidance on this problem would be greatly appreciated. Also I would love input for future runs, I was thinking about trying my next run with just plain RO water and nothing else. After I clean the system of course. I saw some people mentioning that cannazyme would help keep the sludge from developing...

Alright well I just double checked, and it looks like I have one clearish whispy root starting to pop out of one of them on day 14 in the cloner. Does anyone know by chance what causes the clearish smaller roots, over the thick white roots?

Anyone have any advce?

Scrapped the clones that were in my oxycloner after the stems started developing a severe coating of the slime. Am currently running a 10% bleach solution through the system for the next 24 hours...

Cloning machines need to run at certain temps in order to work properly. A common problem is the water being too warm. This is caused by multiple factors including enviroment, but usually the pump in the machine is the culprit. I am aware that the oxyclone claims to have no pumps so you would think that this wouldn't be a problem. The website also claims that the machine works under high temps.

There's a few different companies that make a solution for cloning machines. I believe turbo klone and botanicare both have one. These solutions allow you to run your machine at higher temps, effectively eliminating the need for a water chiller.

Make sure you clean out your system REALLY WELL... People are known to completely abandon their machines after the slime hits, however it's completely fixable. In addition to your bleach, soak the machine in some hot water. Make sure you get the neoprene inserts too, or just buy new ones.

Once you get it COMPLETELY clean go and buy some of that solution I'm talking about. I know it works from experience. Just ask the guy at your local shop what it is they have since I'm pretty sure there are a number of companies that make products similar to what i'm describing.

Run a 10 to 20% bleach solution through it for 24 hours then run plain water through for 8 hours. Then refill using just plain water, no additives are needed to get roots from clones. I find my success rate is just as good with plain water and I never get the sludge anymore.

My water does stay much cooler then yours so I would also try to keep those water temps down if possible.

I think you could be possibly referring to hydroguard? If not please lmk because I'm worried I'll have similar problems once my cloner arrives -- need to make sure I pick up some of this solution!

I'd recommend checking out PermaClone's methods. They sell a steirlizable collars which isn't necessary if you simply replace your collars, but their methods are INSANE. Everything I know about cloning come from their methods.
