Ok, just to remind you I am a first timer here so if this sounds stupid I apologize. The temps are going down into the lower 40's for a couple nights (low 60's during the day). Should I cover my plants? Is there a way to cover without making them stick out like "Hey look at me!" How low can it go until it affects the plant? Thanks!
Nah your good man. Are you up higher in elevation? It's much warmer than that where I'm at.

You dont have to worry unless temps go near freezing and there is a hard frost on the way. Other than that your ladies should be happy.

Dire, you must be right near me.. Dennis Bowman is saying the exact same forecast.. those cold nights are actually good about now. A couple of chilly nights will sometimes trigger that final push of finishing growth.

Yep! Thanks for the reply, RDG and Sonar too. I hope the cool weather helps them finish. It seems like forever since they started to flower and its only been about 6 weeks. I am getting more anxious and nervous every day. Cant wait to harvest!!! Good luck to you and the rest of my PA brothers out there making it happen!

Any guesses when these might finish? They are in week 7ish of flowering. All thoughts and opinions welcome, 1st grow.

Impatience is the enemy.. those look like a sativa dom to me, so I'd give em 3-4. I'd start with Gravity next weekend if I were you..and trich production looks like it use some help. Snowstorm Ultra will frost em up nicely. I'm pounding mine with 2 tsp/gal til I start with gravity, then I'll cut back to 1 tsp/gal

I had to take down two skunks on Friday due to budrot. I thought I had it under control, but it spread like crazy tues, wed and thurs. The inlaws were here, and I couldn't make it out to the plot. Wet weight for both plants after cutting out all the mold was only 2.2 lbs, so I'm looking at maybe 8 oz dry. At least I can recycle the moldy thru the hash bags I just got..

Sorry to hear about the mold problem. I just checked the forecast for the week, more rain coming. I've been using FFTB but thats all, well molasses too. I was going to try some late season Fox Farms product but have read that the granular stuff doesn't work very well (just someone's opinion!). I'm stopping by the hydro shop tomorrow after work, I'll see what they recommend. I'll let you know what I pick up and thanks for the info!

Yeah the bud rot and mold is even worse this year than it was last year. I harvested one of my smaller plants a few days ago and had to toss a good bit because of bud rot.

I've been having pretty good luck with Fox Farm Peace of Mind. I threw a handful or two in the promix when I transplanted outside and have been top dressing with it every month or so since. It's been so wet the past month and a half that's pretty much the only feeding they've gotten since then up until the other day.

Well at least I am not the only one with mould and bud rot problems this year... I have had enough of this rain and cool cloudy weather! It's seriously affecting my crop!

A few of my plants have a shitty leaf disease. So far i've only found one pin-head size spot of rot. So fingers are crossed. im also convinced the havy rains weve had for the past 3 weeks or so washed out mostly all of my Heavy Harvest time release ferts. So now im feeding with foxfarm BB & TB as well as their beastie bloomz product. Thats one of the granular stuffs they have ..and whomever said something bout it earlier.. i'd recommend it. the NPK is like 0-30-50 or something rediculous like that. If that doesnt work you must be pouring it ten feet away during a flash flood.

Ill post some pics from the last 3 weeks and update my grow thread while im at it..

@direwolf, i would also recommend another 3-5 weeks also. Your buds seem to be the same size as mine and i know for sure that i'd like them to go another month if the weather permits. i know its tough to hold out but i promise the reward will be that much sweeter

Shake, shake, shake. I've avoided the molds and bud rots thus far (knock on wood) just by going out every rainy day and giving each branch a good shakin'. Though, I did catch some Powdery Mildew, which I just treated with Tea Tree Oil (which I highly recommend) perhaps this will also help in the fight with molds and rots. Kind of strange cause I've heard PM dislikes lots of moisture. Well, good luck East Coasters.

Check this out, I've heard that colder temps can cause pistils to turn purple. It's only happening on one of my plants but I think its pretty f'n cool!
