Planning another guerilla for the summer. These late-season snows have me worried at times. Up in the mountains that snow falling in early Feb can easily last well into April. Makes a much tougher time trying to scout spots.
So how bout it guys, what type of spot do you prefer. Hike the hills for somewhere secluded or an easier to access/ closer to home type?

both ways are kinda sketchy... depends on the area.... with the hikes you have to worry more about wildlife.. and with the closer to home spots.. theres the risk of a good nose haahaha

Yes we are all pretty well fucked. I measured the sheet of ice on my car this morning: 3/8" thick; and we have more coming tonight. No fun at all. Glad to see a nice little group from PA!

Hey what's going one guys! Good to see you back again this year RDGgreenthumb.

After a pretty successful first season last year I'm eager to get started again. Fortunately, I'm a seed whore so I have plenty to chose from. Just picked up the Paradise promo from Attitude, so the only thing I know for certain is that I'll be growing 5 Automaria II and 3 Pandora throughout the summer. Both of these strains are brand new so I'm taking a bit of a chance, but Paradise seems like a pretty legit breeder so I'm sure they will perform at least so-so. Probably going to start 4 of them in mid April then the other 4 early to mid June once all my non auto plants are out. Other than that, I easily have 20-25 fem seeds, mostly freebies, left from various Attitude promos.

Here's my current "short list":
Dinafem - California Hash Plant (definite)
Dinafem - Blue Widow
Dutch Passion - Mekong High
Kannabia - Mataro Blue
Kannabia - Special
Sweet Sweeds - Green Poison (definite)
Sagarmatha - NL #9 (definite)
Magus - Motavation

I have a bunch more, but they either don't appeal to me as much or don't seem like they would do well here outdoors. Soil will be promix. Probably going to order my bales in the month or so. I have a pretty nice plot from last year, so think I'm going to drop a few plants there. I would like to find 2 more plots that are a little closer to water. They'll all be going straight in the ground except for the autos, they'll be going in 2-3 gallon pots. Gonna start indoors and let veg for about a month before I take them out. Have a new veg light so I think I can fit under it. As soon as the weather starts to break I'm gonna head out scouting. Have a few ideas in mind already.

My original plans were to go huge this year, but the more I think about it I don't think I need to. With 4 plants (minus my autos) I pulled about 1/2 lb last year, which isn't really all that good considering I started vegging them in April and early May. I think with the better genetics I have, plus much bigger holes, plus better plots for some of the plants, I can easily double my yield per plant from last year. That's why location is key. I could have used a bit more sun and was a little farther away from water than I would have liked. Hopefully we don't have a 2 month drought like we did last year. Dry weather in September and October would be nice though. :)
