If you feel up to building your own I would highly recommend it. You can fix it yourself (I've never had to but one day I might)
You can upgrade it yourself (never had to but one day I might)
You can build exactly what you need for your space.
You can look at it lovingly and feel a profound sense of accomplishment.
If you take your time, do your research, have a bunch of tools and time on hand, and don't make too many costly errors you can also save some dough.

If I was going to buy a pre-made right now I'd probably buy a couple Tasty's (not on your list). I think you will get great results (assuming you can grow already) with anything on your list but I've always liked Rahz (Tastyled) and his lamps. Simple, straightforward designs and the owner is nothing but professional.

Good luck grower!
:D

Putting together a smallish grow setup. Probably a 4x4 tent with 1-4 plants and lowish ceilings.

Looking at the NextLight Mega, Pacific CX420, and Timber Cree and Vero frameworks. Thoughts on Pacific vs Cree? It seem some YouTube videos showing smaller COBs (eg Pacific CXB400) working better than the flat panel MCOBS (NextLight Mega). Technically the NextLight should be better - do you think it may be grow height? The large size of the NextLight looks awkward and fragile yet stunning. I want something durable, powerful, and easy to move. A COB array may be more expandable, right? Is CO2 possible with any of these lights? Am I really that much better going DIY cobs? Any experience with actively cooled units like Johnson? Passive cooling seems more elegant/robust. Thoughts?

@Rahz is a good dude, and should see how his work is doing at 4 weeks 6 days in flower using two of his 2 T1-2100s and a T1-V196 for 241w of light (270 with fans/drivers).

Looks like I struck a nerve with your recent purchase. Truth hurts...don't blame the messenger. You are so hung up on me it's ridiculous, petty and show how insecure you are with yourself.
And the worst thing is it keep digging yourself hole you can't get out of. Instead of just being transparent and letting the chips fall. And you dragging you beloved makers right in that hole with you.

This thread is about a LIST OF LIGHTS. And all you can do is focus on me and still fail countering just one of the other lights listed. And no amount of your personal feelings is going to change reality.
Answer the performance and use questions and leave your insecurities out of it.

And PS....you can go ask your best buddy why the 2015 cxp250 has a higher µmol/j then just updated last month JGL citi maxipad"? and the cxp cost less per watt the whole time??

We all need each other to compete and do better. We all got different ideas, different RnD budgets.

QB's Yes they are not ETL or UL. We are selling an alternate to COB. Easier to use. Earlier this year @Stephenj37826 come with with the idea of 561C on a board and it is awesome. Mid Power i something that DIY crowd did not have access to before. I am Building a lamp for @NapalmD to test. Captain already doing a journal.

@puffenuff thanks for your awesome journals.

@Stephenj37826 has contributed with boards, unique air cooled duct design

I've just GOT to repost the so the OP, who actually had an honest question, can see what an incredible job these lights can do with just a shred of skill no matter who builds them. Pay attention to this and let the light builders argue amongst themselves.

BTW... @Olive Drab Green I'd love to see a cocoa test grow! Judging by your pics, it should be a snap! Lol! :hump::hump::hump:

To the OP, besides the Nextlight Mega, and the Fluence which I've never seen, all the cob lights you listed there are basically the same in the sense that they are all using some brand/ model of cob be it Cree, Vero or Citizen and either meanwell drivers (meanwell for the win imo) or a similar driver.
They are just configured or laid out differently, built by the maker on his work bench or on an assembly line in China.

Basically what I am saying is they are all great lights that will grow nice buds.
I'm just a headstash grower who strives to grow the best meds possible but I can personally attest that the Nextlight will grow nice buds, The Cree CXB's will grow nice buds ( I grew under CXA's which are the previous model ) the Citizens will grow nice buds and now I'm running Veros which are growing some nice buds.

There's threads upon threads of all the components in all those lights you listed growing some really nice bud.
The only choice you're making as far as the lights you listed is which one(s) will compliment or fit your space perfectly and what company/light maker has good customer service, is there when/if something goes wrong, builds each light with quality craftsmanship etc...
That can be found by just doing a little reading on this forum and seeing who you'd feel comfortable doing business with.

I know I know, way to state the obvious but a little reading goes a long way
